Here is a great example of why everyone should be checking Unilocal before trying a new business. I just stopped my girlfriend from going here, and it made me decide to share my horrible experience I had a few months ago. This place had an ad on the very top of my Google search that attracted my attention. I clicked on it expecting the level of service I received in Hong Kong.
OMG! If I had only bothered to read some of the other Unilocalers reviews the filtered ones also, I would never have gone there. Firstly the woman that answered the phone was really rude, not the slightest bit interested in talking to my, or answering my questions. However, their prices were the lowest I have ever seen so I booked.
When it came time for my appointment it was really hard to find them. They are hidden away in a back service hall in an old building, and when I did find the place the door was locked. When I got buzzed in I was given the usual paperwork to fill in and was then taken to a back tiny room where the woman that was going to to do the treatment smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. She was not at all pleasant but she began the waxing treatment right away. Can you say «PAIN» wow I have never been treated so badly in my life! If they depended on customers to pay the rent they would be making a way better effort. I DO NOT recommend this business.

I went there the first time around 4 years ago and was very impressed with I think the owner. I have been getting brazilians for about 20 years so I consider myself an expert when it comes to a good job. However the owner spends most of her time in Toronto now and the ladies they have hired are nice but newbies… ouch

I’ve seen Jennifer for lazer here. She is awesome. She is fast, efficient, clean and she laughs at my stupid jokes.
I think the price is great as online coupon deals are garbage and other places pretty much get you and get you out. This is the same price, all the time. You don’t need to buy packages and they don’t push product.
The décor is… interesting, but I am not there for lessons on interior design. I am a tofu and potatoes kinda girl, and this place satisfies.
And the cute front desk girl that is there when Jennifer isn’t at the front herself is cute as a button. Maybe there are new staff, but I recommend Jennifer to everyone.
And it works. I am practically hair free after 5 or 6 sessions. Don’t bother going if you don’t have the right hair type. Research what you want so you get what you are looking for.

First of all I’m not the expert on waxing, l went to this place couple weeks ago because l found the place on google, they had running a lot of google ads so l thought it would be a good place to go, the receptionist was very nice and friendly, the place is not very inviting, their need some TLC, anyway, l waited on this tiny room and l was getting my legs done for fist time, the wax they used looked very cheap, l’ve been to other places where they use this really fancy wax that it’s kind of lavander colour and painless. They didn’t put anything on my legs but baby powder, no oil before or after for the pain, the woman started doing my legs, omg! l have never been in this much pain in my life l felt like l was being stabbed, l don’t know if it was normal but a lot of my friends do their legs often and l don’t think anybody in their right mind would do this ever again, after all the pain l had. l think it worth paying a bit more for a better spa experience waxing the place has reasonable prices, so it’s up to you. Also when l left the place l got the goose bump because it was cold and l got home to find out l still had hair on my legs or either it grew on my way home, so dissapointed!!, l asked my friend if it was that painful and she told me usually after they remove the wax they apply some pressure with the hand to make the experience less painfull.

My first impression of this place (over the phone) was pretty good, however, when I got there, the lady at the front desk was not at all nice. I might be wrong about this, but… receptionists are suppose to be nice… right? This was my first time doing a Brazilian, so I had no idea what I was suppose to do. The waxer muffled something to me and went out the room, and I couldn’t hear what she said, so I went after her to clarify what she wanted me to do. I couldn’t find her, so I asked the receptionist. That receptionist told me what to do, but in a very frustrated tone… it sounded as if she was taking out that frustration when talking to me. I felt like I was in trouble for asking :(
The waxer, on the other hand, was super nice and sympathetic since it was my first time. She was very thorough, gave me good after care advice and overall, I was very satisfied with the work.
Note:
Parking is very difficult and expensive. Try to transit and or walk there.
The entrance to this place is sort of hidden. You have to go down this small hallway from the main door then turn to your right and you will see a glass window. Right beside the glass window is the entrance to this place.

i have no idea what their services are like, i didn’t get past the phone call to ask about appointments and pricing. rude rude rude. not helpful, didn’t want to help, got bitchy at me, and hung up with out saying good bye.

Needed a last min wax job.
It was 620pm and i called to come in at 630 which was not a problem «as long as i came right away»
Got there and was ushered in immediately. I was waxed and out of there in no time.
Price was very reasonable. They are less then a block from where i live so I’ll be back.

I hate to do this, but I was so not impressed.
Went here for a Brazilian and the person at the front desk was super helpful and nice. The waxer was sweet as well, but her work was not unfortunately.
The place was pretty clean but her job was messy. It’s the most pain I’ve been in while getting a wax and even though I’m not a professional, her technique did not see like a pro.
Considering how nice the staff was I’d want to give them 4 stars, but the wax job was seriously, «meh, I’ve experienced better.»
