I am a geek about organizing, and this place was dreamy! So many types of shelving/storage systems, among many other things. Staff was very helpful –took the time to clarify and understand my needs, explained how the various systems worked –and the pros and cons of each– and carefully priced out several options. Wonderful!

Omigoodness, where has this place been all my life?! I needed some clear plastic sleeves to hold some art prints in and was directed here by a friend of mine who uses the place to buy items for her store, otherwise i never would have found it! Seriously, unless you’re one of the creepy are-they-or-aren’t-they? homeless people i saw skulking around the alleyways in this area, you probably aren’t going to just casually come across this place. Well, i certainly found the perfect plastic sleeves for my art prints, but i also found a coat rack! For thirty dollars! And it’s brand new! And sturdy! Made of metal! Coat rack or spaceship!!! No, now i’m getting too excited. It’s just a coat rack. My boyfriend and i have been in dire need of a coat rack since our charming East Van suite has no closet in the entry of our house, and as fun as making little nests on the floor for us to curl up on like a pair of mangy dogs has been, we decided a little while ago that it was time for us to move onwards and upwards. The problem was finding a coat rack cheap enough. When you’re as low income as us, there’s not much point in spending too much money on a flimsy IKEA coat rack when our next apartment will(oh god, hopefully) have a closet by the door! Eddie’s Hang Up Display to the rescue! We got something within our budget that’ll be sturdy enough to hold all our coats, and when the time comes to move we won’t feel guilty putting it out in the alley! They also had so many wonderful things for organizing jewelery! If i didn’t already have a pretty good system going i’d so be going nuts buying cute little displays with red velvet, leopard print, and fancy metal flourishes! An 8″ miniature hot pink chaise lounge?! if i had a gerbil or possibly one of those freaky dogs the size of rats it would so have that as a bed… Sorry this review sounds so excited and random, i’m still giddy from coat rack endorphins!

Well this place is certainly off of the radar for anyone except for those that might need some random display stuff: mannequins, hangers, small jewelry display stands in the shape of a chaise lounge… Super friendly and helpful staff that resemble the cutest little patchworked family I’ve ever seen. All calling each other«hon,» joking, smiling. I had a smile on my face for no reason — keep in mind it’s a retail merchandising store full of signs like«Clearance» and«50% off» But the dish is this — anyone can shop here. You don’t need to be a store owner or have a PST number — you can buy your wrapping paper there, your curling ribbon on the cheap and random stuff like jewelry bags, boxes, tissue paper etc. Did I mention it’s like wholesale prices? Just watch out for the tight aisles mixed with dim lighting — almost had my eye poked out by a mannequin arm reaching out. Haha!
