I’ve been a patient of Dr. Loo since 1998 or 1999. I needed braces due to an accident as a child. I avoided smiling with my mouth open because I was so embarrassed about my teeth. Our family friend recommended Dr. Loo because she had braces done and was so impressed with the quality and care(from the front desk, staff and Dr. Loo). My brother had his braces done elsewhere. At the end of the day, my mom even commented that she wish she had spent the extra $ 1000 and sent my brother to Dr. Loo. She said it was clear the quality of work and expertise was worth the extra money she spent. I couldn’t agree more! My brother’s dentist didn’t even recommend permanent retainers when his braces were removed. He told him that he’d just have to wear the retainer. He never bothered to ask him any questions. Dr. Loo asked me if I’d realistically wear my retainers, I told her no, so she recommended permanent retainers. Fast forward over a decade and my teeth are still perfectly straight while my brother’s teeth have shifted(he hasn’t worn his braces more than a handful of times in the past decade). Yeah I have a set of retainers but I don’t wear them, but than god for my permanent retainers. Dr. Loo gave us a realistic timeline. I’ve heard so many stories about people who had it longer than they were told. Yes it could be that people didn’t do what they were told(wear their bands, come in monthly etc) so maybe that’s why it took longer — I don’t know. I told her I needed it off before I graduated because I wanted to smile with my teeth for the first time in years, and she had them off right on time. Also, based on how much more severe my case was compared to my brother’s(his was just that his teeth were crooked), he had braces longer than me. Dr. Loo is NOT the cheapest orthodontist out there. Yes you can get cheaper braces or invisalign done elsewhere, but you get what you paid for. My mom still tells people that my orthodontist did an amazing job, and you know what they say: mom’s always right!

I’ve been with Angelina and her crew since the sands of time. I have a very unique Cleft Pilate where it’s kinda like a Cranio-Facial Pilate so my medical takes care of this treatment with the orthodontist. I started wearing re-tainers first instead for 1.5 years. Then wore braces for 2.5 years with built in retainer following 1 year. And now on my manual re-tainers with built in retainers. I’ve been with them for more than 15 years… wow! They are great!
