I called because I had some weird questions, but then the very lovely man told me that you could get 10% off by ordering online… super easy peasy. we spent a lot of time on the phone, and usually when i do that i get super frustrated — especially if i’m in the hanger zone! but nope, he was just lovely. lovely! for spice levels, we got medium for most of our dishes, and one hot. I didn’t find the hot very hot, ymmv. medium was pretty medium. the food was delicious, and we’ll definitely order again. except the grill, wasn’t a huge fan of that. but you should have seen the size of the cauliflower chunks! this in the era of $ 10 heads! didn’t much care for their paratha, it was a bit blah, but naan was great, would go for more of that again. my fav dish was the palak paneer, which was super flavourful and delicious.

What can I say?. Simply amazing. Some of the most flavourful Indian food I have ever tried. And I’ve tried lots. Called in for delivery, the guy on the phone was on the ball and quite pleasant. Was told the food would be about 45 minutes, but it arrived in about half an hour. So far so good. We open the containers, we find a small salad and basmati rice, both of which we didn’t order, found out it’s free with our order. Ok, I like this. Butter chicken was really creamy, lots of chicken chunks, all white meat. Ordered it hot, and was not disappointed. Vegetable pakoras, lots in the order, nice size, great flavour. Mint sauce was good. Palak paneer was also very creamy and rich tasting, big chunks of cheese. Amazeballs. Some vegetable dish I forget the name of, no matter, it also exceeded expectations. I’ve never actually eaten at their location, so I can’t comment on service or atmosphere, but really, who cares when the food is this good? If this was the 90’s this place would be top three on my speed dial. Highly recommend.

You could easily pass by this place on E Hastings without noticing it, but it’s definitely worth a visit. We got a whole assortment including Butter Chicken, Lamb Vindaloo, some other chicken dish, naans, mango lassis and pulao rice! The food was really tasty, you can choose the spice level, and we had plenty of leftovers for the next day’s lunch :) I could eat those naans all day…

Been back a couple times and I have to mention that I’d recommend Curry Zone exclusively for the lunch combo simply because you can’t beat that deal. You get a meat curry, salad, rice, naan, plus a bonus piece chicken tandoori for like $ 12– so much food! But for dinner, it’s like $ 15 for just the curry and rice OR naan. Price goes up for less food! Of course, it’s still tasty, but I was dreaming of the lunch combo while I was eating dinner.

The curry dishes were not bad but using tandoori lamb in a curry dish probably not the best idea the favor was off the meat was hard can’t recommend this place unless ur super hungry and just shoveling in food Pass

It happens a lot. And it’s happened now with curryzone :(. Their price point was a little higher than their competitors but their portions were huge and we were guaranteed leftovers the next day. So it was worth it. Not this time. Hate it when great places get too big for their boots and let their loyal customers down. Their take out prices remain the same but the portions have decreased 25%… Hate when that happens! Still good food but not good value any more and going forward, I’ll be ordering curry from places that appreciate their loyal customers. I’ve attached a pic to show last old curryzone container vs new. Big difference.

My new favorite Indian delivery. Had the chicken tandoori, eggplant with minced pork and Palak Paneer. So good. I think next time I’ll try a different chicken dish — though it was pretty solid. The two«veg» dished were terrific and the naan is wicked — although we had both the plain and the garlic — definitely preferred the plain. can’t wait to try more!!!

If you like quality and quantity, definitely go with these guys. I’d recommend just getting delivery or takeout. Their portions are greater when doing delivery/takeout. Their take out/delivery portions are awesome, and their food tastes amazing. I’ve never had such consistently good Indian food from any restaurant before. This is our go-to restaurant for days our staff work late at the office. I love their chili chicken, their lamb dishes, and even their channa masala dish was so tasty. You can order almost ANYTHING off their menu and enjoy it! Their lamb kabob appetizer is quite possibly the greatest appetizer ever. It’s no coincidence why this establishment has such high ratings across all websites. Every time you order, you’ll know you’re in for quite a treat. Their mango lassi’s are amazing, too.

I’ve been getting my indian fix from Curry Zone for years now, but mainly delivery until my most recent sit in dining at the restaurant. The restaurant is small but don’t be fooled because the service, food, and company is top notch.

WOW. What an awesome spot to find fantastic Indian food. I came here with three friends and we were all emergency-level hungry. They’ve got an extensive menu and a great amount of selection for people with all kinds of dietary preferences. All of their specialty dishes come with your choice of a side of naan bread or rice, and I highly recommend the naan bread — it is SO fresh and sumptuous. I ordered the lamb curry and I was worried that because I didn’t want either rice or naan bread with it I wouldn’t be full from the curry alone. It was completely for naught because I was fully satiated by the time I was finished my meal. I think that next time I go(because I will absolutely be back) my friends and I will order a number of dishes and share everything, because choosing just one dish is just the saddest thing in the world when there is so much deliciousness. Loved this place! Can’t wait to go back!

We checked this place out due to the Unilocal reviews raving about the lunch special. The service was excellent prompt clean. We found the Curry to be very bland it doesn’t taste like authentic Indian food it came with a piece of tandoori chicken which didn’t taste fresh maybe made the day before and reheated? Dry. It was eatable but it wasn’t great. I really wish I could have given this place a better review because the service was so good but the food just didn’t cut it. I feel it would do well in a food court setting its just a dummied down version of Indian food.

We finish our work, and can’t be bothered to cook. Let’s eat out. The Curry Zone has good seating, and joyful Indian music.(I’m not excited about the big screen TV, but I manage to face away.) Alternatively, we can take out.(I believe that most of their business is take out and delivery.) There is a discount for take out. You can choose mild, medium, or hot for every dish. You can even specify the no dairy option for their veggie dishes. Complete your order with free rice and several orders of Nan bread. You’ll want lots of Nan bread because it’s fresh and so tasty. When it’s time to get in the don’t-want-to-cook zone, you know who we’re calling.

Never had any problems with Curry Zone, food is delicious, and affordable & service is always wonderful. The staff are always pleasant. My only issue would be that they don’t deliver till after 5 and I always crave butter chicken when I’m hungover.

curry zone has been on the list for a while but today I was. I was finally able to stop in. I had their lunch special and it was really great. I practically licked the plate when I was done. You get to choose from any of their specialty currys(chicken, lamb, or seafood) and it comes with salad, rice, naan and either veggie pakoras or a piece of chicken tandoori. I had a very tasty lamb curry(I can’t remember what it was called). The meat was tender, the curry was spiced to my specification(pretty spot on!). The naan was fresh and hot and they weren’t stingy with it either. The pakoras were fresh out of the fryer(you get 4 small balls) and they tasted great and The seasoning was just right. The restaurant is clean and bright. The service is friendly, prompt and unobtrusive. Thanks fellow Unilocalers! I’ll be back again!

I called in the order and when we got there, the restaurant was empty at 8:15pm on a Wednesday night. I thought that was a bad sign but when we got home the food was fantastic. Maybe this area is more a lunch crowd? PALAAKPANEER. The spinach tasted fresher(and was greener) than what I’m used to. Excellent dish, generous take out portions. LAMBVINDALOO. Ordered this one with a little kick, and this was also prepared well. BUTTERCHICKEN. Super flavorful. Good chunks of tikka chicken. I loved it. Love love this place.

You wouldn’t think from looking on the outside, however, their curry is really really good. i love the coconut curry and the rice is nice and fluffy. Not too rich which is appreciated. Very good prices and very good portions. Customer service was good as well.

This review is for their take out service only. We were planning a lunch at work and had some dietary considerations — we knew we were going to order from different restaurants since we had a fish allergy, a gluten free diet, an anti pork eater, a vegetarian, and a vegan. Yes. Really. We ordered the butter chicken, chicken korma, naan, veggie pakoras, methi malai mutter, and bhaigan bharta. It came with two plain rice. I do not believe they normally deliver for lunch, but I called ahead and they were able to deliver. They were even early, and called me to confirm the delivery. Really good chicken dishes, the methi malai mutter went well with rice. The eggplant(which I was expecting a lot from) was just ok. I would try it again, since I can promise that I will order from Curry Zone again. Perhaps a dine in experience?

This was a very disappointing experience. My partner and I have had take-out from Curry Zone once before and were happy with it but eating in was a whole different experience. From the get-go the server refused to acknowledge me or make eye contact when I was ordering, which was disconcerting, to say the least. He seemed much more comfortable addressing my partner, who happens to be a man. First off I ordered a cup of black tea and almost 20 minutes later was brought a tepid assam that tasted slightly spiced with milk already in(I’m dairy sensitive so this was a bit offensive). It tasted sour and was curdled. There was no option to sweeten or put my own milk alternative in. I was a little put-off by this but didn’t remark as I assumed maybe this is customary practice for their restaurant. I didn’t drink it and it remained cold and unremarked upon for the entirety of our meal. I ordered the lamb tikka marsala and my partner ordered a chicken dish(I can’t remember which one). The food came out quite quickly, less than 25 minutes after ordering, which was a bit surprising. Usually quality fresh food is at least 30 minutes to cook everything properly from scratch, which made me suspicious off the bat. The plate was heaped with very dry white basmati rice and a wilted«salad»(I say that loosely as it was just wilted, browning romaine, some iceberg lettuce with one pale, fishy tomato slice). The lamb tikka marsala consisted of an overly strong tikka marsala sauce and grisly, tough, gamey lamb that tasted like it had been sitting in a freezer for 4 years then taken out and hastily cooked. There was no flavour besides the distinctly freezer-burnt, musty tang of old meat, poorly masked by very strong spices. At this point I had eaten maybe a couple of bites of rice and lamb and placed my cutlery parallel on my plate, to indicate I was finished. And I waited. And waited. And waited. The waiter never returned to check on our meal until 20 minutes later when my partner had finished his plate. We were the only customers in the restaurant so it wasn’t due to busyness. Then he merely picked up both our plates and turned to walk away. I had to clear my throat and say«Excuse me? Aren’t you going to ask about my meal?» He looked confused, like a deer in headlights. As someone who worked in service for 10+ years I was just in shock and awe at this. Even as I told him that I was unhappy with my meal, he refused to make eye contact and instead addressed my partner, offering to bring me another plate of the same disgusting dish. I interrupted and told him I did not want more of the same food, but simply to take my meal off our bill. I had not eaten it so this was more than fair. He tried to argue that he would get the cook to re-do my order, but at that point it had been a good hour since we had sat down and I had totally lost my appetite. I declined his offer and told him to bring our bill. He returned to the kitchen and I could hear him arguing with the cook for quite some time. He took another 15 minutes to bring us over the bill, obviously stalling for time. When he finally did, I noticed he had not taken my meal off the bill. Now I’m not sure what his problem was, but at this point we had simply had enough of the rudeness and lack of attention so we just paid the bill and got out of there. As we were walking out the door, he came running up to me and tried to give me a take-out box with another plate of that disgusting mess to go. I declined and told him he had had his chance and that I would be leaving this poor review. In retrospect we should have expected this level of service because there is never more than one table occupied in this restaurant, and probably for good reason. The service was TERRIBLE, the food was god awful and we will never go back there.

Lunch special is a great value, and the food was delicious. I had the lamb vindaloo lunch special(10.95) and it came with a huge portion of rice and naan– probably 3 cups of rice and 1.5 naan. The amount of curry was more than enough to completely saturate all the rice, and the naan, oh the naan– it was buttery and so so fresh. mmm. We had enough to bring home and can’t wait to eat the rest. Really a gem, would go back again and again.

I had Curry Zone delivered a MONTH ago and just finished the last of it today. Whaaaaat? Yup: two mains + an appetizer + rice + naan = so much food that I had to freeze leftovers. Quantity doesn’t always mean quality though; so how did seven(generous) meals’ worth of food stack up? Um, AMAZING. Mutter paneer was thick and rich, with bite-sized chunks of homemade paneer. Eggplant bharta was spicy and flavourful. The giant container of veggie pakoras came with two — TWO — delicious chutneys. Garlic naan was buttery and the basmati rice fluffy(and they threw it in for free). Grand total? $ 35 for a vegetarian feast. Better yet, delivery only took 30 minutes(they quoted 45) and it showed up piping hot. The delivery guy also gleefully asked to pet my cat, so bonus points to him for being a cat-lover.
