This park is really just a large field popular with baseball and rugby players. Occasionally you might see cricket players. Currenly the park is in the process of having it’s grass replaced. There is a few places to sit around the edges and park is often used by locals nearby to walk their dogs.

Some quotes to get you in the mood: -«There’s no crying in baseball!» — Tom Hanks, A League of their Own -«I play like Maze and I run like Haze!» Wesley Snipes, Major League -«If You Build It He Will Come.» Kevin Costner, Field of Dreams With borrowed bats, balls and gloves, a group of us grownups gathered to play a little ball, get a little exercise and eat some soft pretzels, peanuts and crackerjacks. A fun activity indeed, in a fantastic location: lots of parking on the streets, in the parking lots of the field and around the corner at the adjacent Kitsilano Community Centre. The sand was a lot to take in, literally — grit, grit and more grit. Playing without bases made it a little challenging, but hey it’s not like I was sliding, or trying out for the majors! The bleachers are pretty worn in, and the diamond that we were on(the northeast side) is right next to the street. Definitely be on the lookout out for those rogue balls a flying! You can rent the diamonds by the hour. The website( ) quotes $ 12.70/hr, but I didn’t book it, so I can’t confirm this! *Potty advice* Use the johns in the arena(building just west of the field) Careful for Sunday’s in the summer. The farmers market happens and the parking lot is closed for the vendors cars.
