I started seeing Elaine about 2 years ago, when she was working out of another location. My (male) partner had had no previous counselling experience and was rather wary. I had had lots of counselling with various therapists and therapy modalities, and knew that some are awesome and some are… very not, so I went in with a «shopping» eye. We both loved Elaine right off the bat! We did about 12 sessions, and both of us felt they were very helpful (actually, I’m confident our relationship would not have survived without Elaine’s help). Ultimately, we both felt ‘good to go’ and took a long hiatus. Then I learned that Elaine had recently trained in EMDR, on top of the many other modalities she employs. I booked at her newly established office to access the EMDR, and have since had several EMDR and regular talking sessions with her. She still rocks. She is professional, safe, integral, caring, centered, grounded, and very effective –and we also enjoy shared humour, which I appreciate when exploring the heavy stuff. Update: After trying many other approaches (diet, alarms, etc) to resolve my eight-​year-​old child’s persistent, profuse, nightly bedwetting, I brought him to Elaine for EMDR. Ever since his second session two months ago, he has been completely dry at night –and a long-​time daytime fear was completely banished! Elaine has helped him with many other long-​standing issues, too, such as persistent, insatiable hunger and other matters. He loves her!
