4 star for the women naturally, so no men’s stuff. If I wasn’t here for work, never wouldve known about them. Good, affordable store, well kept. Lots of local jewellery, and better quality for the most part. Stylish clothes, small shoes section in right back corner. So guys in the hood, no need to go to the mall. Friendly service.

I am a native Vancouver who recently discovered Changes, and it is better than any other consignment shop in the city. The friendly courteous staff sold all my items, unlike other consignment shops that lost or misplaced my items! And for better prices than what I had elsewhere! Their store is spotless, easy to shop and find things, great variety and I will never go to any other– this is the best service, organized store and most reputable place. They deserve the #1 rating. The staff is AMAZING– CUSTOMERFOCUSED, CARINGANDKNOWLEDGEABLE.

Changes is awesome for buyers and sellers. The staff goes above and beyond to help and are so positive and honest. They will encourage you to try something new, and are always respectful if the suggestion just isn’t «me». Even better than the service are the prices– Frye boots for $ 99. Yep. Basics for $ 10 and less. Sure! Plus, the new items are expertly selected for the store– there really is something for everyone. If you sell, items must be in perfect condition. As a buyer, you will appreciate this. Nothing is cheap because of a broken zipper or snagged sweater, as I have seen in other consignment stores. And those Frye boots? Well, the staff called me when they came in because they thought I might like them, and reminded me to use my Facebook coupon for an extra $ 10 off. I have been a buyer and seller at Changes for years. The community, events and spirit of giving back is inspirational. Suggestions for improvement are also taken to heart and greatly appreciated. As are compliments. And cupcakes. Changes is great for buying and selling, and is geared towards making people feel good about themselves– inspiring confidence at amazing prices no less. Changes good!

I don’t live anywhere near Changes, but I go there to consign my clothes but more often just to shop. What I really like is the service they provide. I always pick out the same old things, but they put little gems in the change room for me to try on. It shakes things up a bit and let’s me discover something new. And, if I don’t like what they pick out, they just try to find something else. No pressure. You can tell they love what they are doing.

This is one of the best well organized consignment stores in the city. It’s small but the quality of clothes are actually stuff that people would want for the hip demographic. I found this amazing pink 50’s pin up style Betty Paige style cherry dress for $ 30 in great stainless condition. Rarely do I see things that jump out at me at consignment stores. The lady working the til was super helpful and friendly and went out of her way in the customer service department.

Called ahead today to ask about an outfit for a 1930s theme party… When I arrived a few hours later to take a look, there were four dresses, a few pairs of lovely shoes and some accessories all laid out for me. What service!!? This store takes the shopper back in time… To a period where customer service was the absolute most important part of running a business. Gosh am I ever glad I found this store… I wish I could give bonus stars to my rating! :)

OK I know what you are thinking… why is a guy writing a review of a clothing store that is 99% women’s clothing? Rhonda and the staff have made my life easier for years. Men shopping for women is never fun. The staff here make me look like a pro. They take SO much time with each client, and are candid and honest with what looks good and what doesn’t. I have even bought gift certificates for the store as Christmas gifts, which have been very well received. Their charity work and support of local causes is also worth mentioning. Awesome stuff. Thanks for making me look good ladies!

First of all, I LOVE the service. You don’t think much about the service in a clothing store, let alone a second-hand store, but I think that’s their secret, really. When I went in just to browse, the two lovely ladies: *Started a room for me fairly quickly. *Never let me carry more than 2 items in my hand. *Picked out some items for me that they thought I might like and hung them in my closet. *As they see me in new outfits, brought even more items they thought I might like. *Happily ran around the store looking for accessories to make my outfit a success. *Weren’t pushy if I declined their suggestions. But what’s customer service without a good product? That’s what I love about Changes. They are discriminating about the clothes they take in, which means that there are more pieces that work for me. In fact, to my utter disbelief, more than half of what I picked out actually looked good on me. This doesn’t happen. Ever. Not in a second-hand store. Especially given my small size.(This is one reason I hesitated in writing this review — I didn’t want to share my new find!) I do admit the prices are a tad high, BUT if an item has been around for longer than a month, they’ll go on clearance, meaning an extra 25−50% off, which luckily for me, meant more than half of my items. And to ensure many happy returns, they have a «customer book» where they record your purchases. If you make 10 purchases within the year, they’ll give you $ 10 off. Not a huge incentive, but certainly handy for those who like to stop by Changes to *browse* their ever changing inventory. And for those of you who are new to Changes, if you check in on Unilocal, you’ll get 50% off one item! Hmph — wish I had checked in *before* I made my purchase! But now I have another reason to return.

A fine second hand clothing store. They are extremely discriminating in their selection of the clothes they take, which is probably a good thing. Kudos to Rhonda for starting her own bus. When they first opened, they would pay out 50% to customers who brought their clothes there. Now, to follow the trend they pay only 40%. Too bad. But as I said, they are quite discriminating on what they take, anyway. A few weird things though: Their jewelry, from local artisans can be overpriced for what you get. So are their scarves, which are mostly new. I can find all of these things, brand new, at many US stores for much cheaper. I know that this is Canada, but if second hand is going to be worth my while, I hope that I’d be getting a deal. If her target market is Point Grey moms, then maybe that’s okay; if it’s UBC students, then pricing might be a problem. But she seem to know what she’s doing. While I have never purchased anything here for these reasons, I have to hand it to the owner for her savvy business sense.
