My first time to this new addition to the neighbourhood with Dine out Vancouver. While the live music was great, the wine selection was average and food was somewhat disappointing and inconsistent for the price point. The tiramisu was fantastic but unfortunately the seafood in our entrees was over cooked and rubbery. When we mentioned this to the staff they apologized and said they let the kitchen know but there was nothing further done. While there was several staff working, including the owner, it seemed as though a large portion of the clientele were friends of either the owner or regulars of the restaurant and as new clientele our service was very slow. At the end of the meal we had to ask for our bill and it ended up taking 30mins before someone came to our table so we could pay. I was really looking forward to checking this restaurant out, but after this experience I don’t think the live music is enough to make up for poor service and mediocre food and drink…

Delicious food, great service, and live jazz music! My friends and I came here for dine out on a Tuesday at 8 pm and it was not too busy, but great ambience… So glad we checked it out. I will be back again for the jazz musician, and the food. I had a couple cocktails — they were just ok. I ordered the jambalaya– so delicious, the tiramisu was one of the best I have ever tasted! My friends ordered lobster linguini, the chicken and they were very happy with their meals as well! Come check this place out especially if you love live jazz music!

We had the most fabulous Italian dinner. I was enchanted to say the least. Perhaps it was the jazz music combo with a great culinary experience. We went during ‘dine-out’. They went well beyond our expectations.

Just had the most wonderful dinner and the most enjoyable evening at Blue Martini Jazz. Waiter Boris was great! Personalized service attention to detail… Fantastic food. Wine selection aided by Carlos was incredible. Small but excellent selection of quality wines. Thank you for a great evening with excellent music as well! We’ll be back and soon…

We had the most fantastic time here. The service, music and the food was outstanding. If you are looking to hit an upscale restaurant that shows premium live entertainment, this is by far the best to what the city offers.

Enjoyed a fabulous dinner there on Tuesday night. We were a group of 12 and the staff was attentive, professional and fun, and the food was delicious. The setting is somewhat formal, but there were guests there in all manner of clothing and everyone appeared to be having a good time. The guitarist/vocalist was really talented and provided a great atmosphere. It would be a great place for a romantic dinner, or as we were, celebrating a birthday.

This«restaurant» is not worth the music. The food and drink are incredibly overpriced and the cocktails were abysmal. From their overly sweet signature blue martini… how original, to the simplest dirty martini. Our waitress had no idea what a dirty martini was nor did she understand about what my husband was talking when he asked for it to be made with Belvedere. My drink was so unimpressive I cannot even remember what it was, just that was was not good and expensive. We are happy to pay top dollar for good food and drink; however, this establishment provides neither. The décor looks like it was taken straight out of a 1987 establishment with not so subtle blue lighting enveloping the room. The whole place screams, «I am trying too hard!» The ambience and the ridiculously overpriced drinks and meals does not suit the laid back beach vibe of Kitsalano. The cliental, which I suppose is what they are going for, are over 60 swingers and cougars who carry an air of self-importance which is laughable. If you want italian with a fantastic ambience and knowledgeable staff, walk directly across the street to Nook.
