Delicious but the thing is, we went at 6pm while there was daylight but noticed they didn’t turn the lights on. Okay, they’ll turn it on later when it’s dark… Nope. It gets even darker so for those not familiar, this becomes a Korean lounge-type vibe. But the food… SUCHGOODVALUE!!! Totally delicious. My fave as recommended by the waitress was the cheesy chicken and noodle dish. Beware it’s spicy but sooooo good!!! The side dishes were different, not your typical kimchi and potatoes, but spicy rice noodles and Mac and cheese. We had the fried chicken which was gigantic and we barely made a dent in(not as good as Zabu chicken but good value here). The bibimbap wasn’t in a stone bowl FYI. But the seafood pancake was the best value! Every bite has seafood and beats Norboo and Jang Mo Jib’s seafood pancake out by a million. Randomly stepped into this place because Sura had an hour wait but I really liked it! Menu wasn’t typical but food was quite good. Serves a Korean clientele but we still had good service. I say give it a try because the food you get here isn’t typical and actually tastes good(this coming from someone that loves Korean food and went to Korea).

Came here last night because gyoza king was closed. The small plates appetizer plates are served in a metal tray. Which is cool at first until you realize the trays take up the entire table. The ramen that was ordered seemed like it was just the packaged shin ramyun and served up with seafood. The fried chicken had a super thick layer of batter and it was so hard it was slightly painful to bite into to eat. We also ordered an ‘army style bento’ which was listed as spicy. When I asked the server how spicy it would be she said its not at all, however when it was served up even the people that love spicy food was having a hard time handling the level of spiciness. The servers clearly aren’t even familiar with the menu. The food portions were quite big, however overall fairly mediocre.

Food 8⁄10 Service 9⁄10 Value 7⁄10 Atmosphere 7⁄10 Entrance Upon my entrance into this Korean restaurant/bar, I was quickly greeted by one of the two servers. They seated me and my partner on a table for two but we asked for a table for four because the restaurant was half empty(we arrived very early for dinner). They happily accommodated our preference and sat us down. They lit a candle for us and brought us water and menu immediately. So far, this was a great start to our visit at the Blue Bella Pocha Korean Bar. Food To start off with drinks, we ordered the Yogurt Soju Cocktail which was in fact made with Yakult. It was sweet and just like all the other Yogurt Sojus we’ve tried in other Korean restaurants. For the main course, we ordered the Panfried Beef Intestines with Vegetables and the Original Deep Fried Whole Chicken with Spring Onions and Special Sauce. Thankfully, the server informed us that the beef intestine dish would be insanely spicy. She said that she could tell the chef to water it down a bit. I was surprised that she cared enough to tell us about the spiciness of the dish because from my experience, alot of servers don’t give a crap about the customers. She also informed us that the restaurant had a bizarre deal where if you ordered one alcoholic beverage and ordered one main dish, they would give you a 5 piece appetizer for free!(Poosh MindF***) The appetizer consisted of a piece of grilled makerel, six pieces of spicy Korean rice cake(Dok Bok Ki), a handful of edamame beans, some Korean Crackers, and finally a warm fish cake broth. These appetizers were alright. I would never pay to eat them but heck! they were for free The main dishes on the other hand were huge in proportions(but they weren’t super cheap) and tasted great. The chicken was actually one of the best Korean friend chicken I’ve ever had on Robson Street. The infusion of the friend chicken with the spring onions bathed in a special sauce was like experiencing an orgasm for the first time. This dish would be highly recommended for anyone’s visit. The second main dish was the spicy pan fried beef intestines with vegetables. It was not spicy because the server asked the chef to make it a little bit easier on the tastebuds. It was my first time trying beef intestines. I expected to be a little grossed out by it. However, contrary to my expectation, intestines were pretty damn good. It wasn’t like meat. It was kinda chewy but in a good way. Someone very hard to describe by words. I may infact become a intestine fanatic. So, all in all the food was great but I could still see some improvements being made hence, not giving them a 10 point. Overall I would definitely recommend others to visit Blue Bella Pocha. It has great food and great servers who will make your visit fabulous. Also, I’ve recently found out that Pocha is one of the main places Korean people gather to drink alcohol. Considering that, they have great food that will go perfectly with Korea’s national drink soju and the internationally loved beer. I will probably be going back sometime soon so maybe I will post some other pictures on the other dishes I will try.

After happy shopping in Robson street, we plan to have a good ramen noodles and take a bteak for the tireing feet. We know there are many good food down the Robson st, many restaurant is full, so coincidence we saw this new opening restaurant, so we just pop in have a try. This place is good for young adult gathering with dim ligjt and loud music. customers talking loud and noisy. We cannot accept the taste of the food. The rice noodles doesn’t cooked through,it is horrible sweet, woth ketchup and spicy, no meat at all. The the calm noodle is so simple, believe it or not, just look at the photos. Pay with this money easily can get better food around the conner. Surely will not back again.

Food is very salty here and service is quite slow. Had to wait for an hour for a dish of fried chicken and realized that it’s too salty as well… Very disappointed. Rest of the foods are also just mediocre compared to other Korean restaurants near the block. Will not revisit.

Nice Korean place on Robson with very dim lights and a busy Korean scene. Often you will see people smoking outside of the store. I normally come here with friends for drinks after dinner so I cannot comment too much on the food. I can talk about drinks though! I must say there might be difficulties ordering if you don’t have a friend who speaks Korean with you. Ambience — a very dim and cozy place. Most people who come drink, and are in their 20s. The service is sub par, especially when they’re busy. They look pretty understaffed! Drinks — normally I get soju bombs(soju+beer) or soju cocktails(yogurt soju is the BEST). Do not get the red vinegar soju cocktail — supposedly considered a «health drink», the price you pay for the amount you get is absurd. Taste wise, it’s like grape juice with soju; somewhat similar to wine. the taste was decent, but nothing compared to yogurt soju! The amount of yogurt soju you get for the price you pay is the best in the unofficial k-town of Vancouver. We’ve tried aloe soju as well but it doesn’t mask the alcohol much so it tastes much stronger. Food — tried the spicy rice cakes(ddeuboki??), they were pretty spicy but also quite sweet at the same time. They either added a lot of sugar or a hint of ketchup in it. The sauce that comes with it is quite thick. Rice cakes were done right though! My friends also like ordering their«lunch boxes» because of how filling they are. There’s a looot of rice that comes with it! Overall, don’t come here for the service, but if you want casual drinks, moderately priced food, and you happen to know some Korean(or drag someone who does along with you).
