Went here for Dine Out Vancouver and got the 3 course meal. The food was good but it seemed like a hit or miss. I got caesar salad for the appetizer. While the lettuce was crisp and fresh, I was disappointed because they served a large piece of crusty bread instead of croutons in the salad. For the entrée, I got linguine with wild sockeye salmon and it was delicious but my boyfriend got penne with prawns and it was extremely disappointing(very small portion and the pasta was overcooked). We finished the meal with tiramisu, which was a filling portion and quite tasty, although it didn’t have the expected coffee flavour. The service was very friendly, our waitress didn’t linger but made sure we were attended to. The interior was also nicely laid out, with a clear view of the water and Canada Place. All in all, service and interior were nice, but the food is average. Worth it for the $ 30 Dine Out price, but I wouldn’t pay the regular price for this meal.

Ranch… All i wanted was some good old fashion pizza dipped in creamy, wonderful ranch. But to my surprise my first impression of vancouver was… bland ranch. Not only was my night ruined by the drinking age being so awkwardly set at 19, but the ranch was, for a lack of a better term, the icing on top of my Dissapointing Dining Experience Cake. Thank Bellagio café. Change your name to Blandaggio Raché. With love, Just another Avid Ranch Lover

I don’t understand the negative comments. We had a great time in this restaurant. I reserved seats for 14 people for my mom’s birthday. 15 people came and it wasn’t a big deal. The staffs were all nice and personable and accomodating. They did a good job! For $ 20 pp set menu we got a large portion for appetizers, entrée and dessert. The Margherita pizza was awesome. Lots of cheese and fresh tomato sauce. They also have a nice selection of wines and cocktails. Most restaurants would charge you extra for cake cutting and serving but Bellagio didn’t. For the set menu you can get salad or soup for starter. I had a big bowl of mushroom soup. It was creamy and delicious. For entrée you can choose from meat lasagna, Cotolleta di Pollo al Limone(pan seared chicken breast and pancetta with lemon and sage sauce), Seared Salmon(crispy skin seared salmon and vegetables) or Gnocchi(choice of tomato basil or butter and sage). I had the meat lasagna! It was so tasty! They had European version. The tomato sauce was so creamy and not sour. My mom had the salmon and it was properly cooked. The fish was flaky. It’s a full 6 oz salmon. The mashed potato it came with was so creamy and yummy. For dessert you have a choice of cheesecake with berry compote, tiramisu and profiteroles(cream puffs, 5 pcs.) We had a great time and we didnt feel like we were rush and have to leave right away. I was so happy I left 20% tip($ 90)!

We were staying at pan pacific, and looking for lunch around the area. Apparently this the place that you’ll stop by because of the location. Food was so so, service was decent. Will I come back next time I’ll visit vancouver? Nah.

The chandeliers are beautiful. The salmon flatbread was the best ever and the olive, sun dried tomatoes dish very unique. We would go back.

Crab cakes were sub par. Prices were high — something like $ 18 for two deep fried breaded balls of canned crab/mayo mixture and a small side salad. This place survives because of its location on the waterfront and the sheer number of hungry tourists wandering by unknowingly.

Sadly, while Italian cuisine is one of my favourites, and I have sampled Italian restaurants around North America, this restaurant was mediocre at best. The Penne Bolagnese was overdone and uninspiring. The penne was gummy, not al dente and the sauce less than average. To start, I ordered a glass of the Santa Rita Cabernet Sauvignon. At $ 8.75 for a 5 oz glass(a wine that sells for $ 9.75 a bottle in the government liquor store), it looked miserly in a glass that left it looking like they forgot to pour the right amount. Perhaps I just got a bad bottle, but it was horribly astringent. The waitress graciously replaced it with a Red Rooster Merlot that at least was drinkable and this time, perhaps as apology, the glass looked like a reasonable amount. I ordered a Caesar salad starter size which was OK, but the presentation reminded me of «try to hard» food. Bottom line: this is a restaurant that is charging typical high downtown prices, but is serving low quality food. Very poor value indeed. The waitress was sweet at least and her tip won’t suffer just because the restaurant doesn’t deserve it.

Terrible Pizza. We ordered a Margarita pizza. No taste, cheese flavorless, sauce was painted on, no fresh herbs, bland & soggy in the middle. We had 2 pieces & told the waitress. She only apologized & left it at that! What more can say. This restaurant next to Canada Place SHOULD be good. Can’t rely on tourists for business. Locals from Vancouver.

I went to this restaurant with my friends and to be honest the workers treated us like crap. First of all we had to wait like an hour before they asked is what we wanted. And when FINALLY the appetizers came, the employee started joking about our order. Then, we had to wait another hour for our meals to come and the person who served those food had just a terrible attitude. I don’t want to hate on this restaurant because the food was really good and there were still a few employees who were nice but it was really weird because every time they served something it was a different person. Otherwise from that the good was really good and there were a few people that were rely nice. It might have just been a bad night for the workers.

Honestly I really liked my meal. The service was really good had the gnocchi bolognese. The only reason I gave it a 3 star instead of 4 is there were 2 bay leaves left in the pasta which is a big no no. Otherwise food was good view was great location awesome and the service was pleasant.

Bellagio’s is right on the waterfront in Vancouver. We sat outside. The view and atmosphere were very nice. We enjoyed watching seaplanes land and take off in harbor. This is my first meal ever in Vancouver. I had Insalada Mista with Salmon fillet. It was perfect. My wife had bison burger. Taste was good but a bit dry. The ketchup was served in a Heinz bottle, but was not Heinz ketchup. But the fries were tasty. Waiter was nice. Good value.

Stopped in for a quiet breakfast. The place was mostly empty, and I was seated very quickly. Highlights: the service was quick, attentive, and genuine. The place has a lovely view. Even Better If: I ordered the Italian Omelette. I don’t do carbs so I was offered mushrooms and tomatoes instead of bread and potatoes. That was a nice substitution. However the omelette was very bland. The egg was fluffy and a bit of salt and pepper helped out. The tomato/mushroom side was tasteless. A decent spot to grab a bite. The food was pedestrian, but it got the job done.

Awful brunch. I asked for an omelette and received a cold frittata instead. I agree with other reviews that describe the food as «gone bad» or stale. Service was ok — this place was pretty dead on a rainy saturday. It’s only saving grace is the view. Mediocre service and mediocre food — I will not be back as there are better restaurants to enjoy the views of Vancouver and the sea wall than this place.

Pricey. Low Quality. Processed. Annoying owner. With a beautiful view. Started with the house salad and dear god, there was a lot of it. Greens were fresh, strawberries were clearly cut the day before because they were slimy, the peppers still had the white bits in them and there was wayyy too much dressing. I have another bone to pick with this salad, I’ve worked at a diner in Oregon which uses the same Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing from SYSCO! It’s the exact same thing. I later asked the waitress if the dressing was made in house and she said it wasn’t. So much for house salad. Keep in mind, this salad costs $ 17. Also had the smoked salmon flatbread. Essentially, a flatbread spread with cream cheese topped with smoked salmon slices and decorated with fried capers and red onions. It was quite good. I liked the flatbread itself, but I disliked the low quality smoked salmon. Still not worth the price. For main, I ordered the beer battered fish and chips and was completely disappointed. The fries were frozen McCain fries, and I know this because I’ve worked at a diner befor, but they were still good. The real issue I have is with the beer battered fish. It’s really shitty, to be completely honest. The cod itself wasn’t seasoned, it was only dipped in a beer batter and fried. The batter was terrible. They used the Granville Island lager(which they have on tap) which tastes flat and horrible. Halfway through my main, the owner went to the kitchen and starts yelling at the kitchen staff about some lasagna being cold and that the patrons waited for 30 mins for their food. One of the chefs argues that they need to put the lasagna in the microwave, but the owner refused, and said he wanted it ‘on the fly’. I’m guessing they microwaved it. Haha. I would have done the same thing. He also yelled at them because another dish was soggy. Throughout the meal, it was quite uncomfortable hearing the owner, Emil, yell at multiple staff. He looks none too pleasant. The boy ordered a margarita pizza. Bellagio makes the thin crusted pizza, which I enjoy. It was just a regular margarita pizza, that was none too delicious. Cheese tasted weird, and they don’t use mozzarella cheese. The basil garnish on top looked old and sweaty. Pizza was better after a few hours when it wasn’t hot, which I know is an odd thing to say, but trust me on this. The flavour of the pizza dough is juuust right. I had already lowered by expectations for dessert. We shared the tiramisu and instantly regretted it. The ladyfingers were soggy and the cheese mixture was terrible. Little reminiscent of coffee or Marsala, the flavours that make a tiramisu! Worst offense is when they decorated it with a strawberry and smucker’s caramel AND chocolate glaze AND icing sugar. C’mon folks. I was sorely disappointed. That’s not how to serve a tiramisu. Only good thing was the view. Service was slow. Emil, the owner, was especially annoying. Food wasn’t good and it was not worth the money or the wait.

Based on the reviews about this place, I anticipated it would not be a good experience, but I wasn’t expecting such a disappointment. Everything was packaged, frozen, or canned foods. I could tell by the chewy, flavorless texture of the calamari and chicken, and the beets were sliced thin with that grated texture that comes with the kind straight out of the can. There was also a hair in my salad, which resulted in me throwing in the towel and giving up on eating that afternoon. Then there was the final touch of the waitress spilling white chicken sauce all over my black dress and jacket. She came by at the end of the meal with a cloth and tried to wipe it, but clearly this occurred earlier when she brought the food to our table as I didn’t recall throwing my entire frozen chicken piece off my plate any time during my feeding. She was sincerely apologetic and I sympathized with her, as she looked nervous and was probably struggling to receive a decent tip for the first time that week. It was not only myself who was dissatisfied; other members of my group commented on the previously frozen, flavorless food that looked better than it tasted. Hard, frozen burger patties, stale buns, and only one prawn in a «seafood» labeled entrée. Plus the paint actually chipped off of my boss’ tea cup. Embarrassing. The music was also horrendous with no consistent theme or genre, switching from 50’s oldies to Katy Perry and then to 70’s rock. And the entire restaurant was freezing cold; it appeared warmer being seated outside with the heated umbrella lamps. Unfortunately the patio was not open during the colder season so this was not an option. Overall, the service was okay but everything else was a disaster. In conclusion, to summarize the Bellagio in three words: Processed, hair, spillage.

Very underwhelmed by this restaurant, esp because of the price. 2 ppl with no drinks spend 40 $ for pasta at lunch. Service was very slow. Food was not worth the price.

Not sure what all the negative reviews are about but we had a great dinner here. We weren’t expecting an amazing meal since it was in a very tourist spot but were pleasantly surprised. We got 2 of the specials — the prawns and lobster with penne in a pomodoro sauce & the chicken and prawns with penne in a creamy pesto sauce. Both entrees were delicious and the portions were good sized. I felt they needed a bit of salt but that was easily fixed. The prawns in both our entrees were big and cooked perfectly — not rubbery at all. The toddler got the chicken tenders with fries, orange juice and chocolate ice cream. The fries were shoestring potato fries that looked like they were cut from an actual potato(not the frozen processed kind) and his chicken tenders were delicious! Even the ice cream was really good. He was full so the hubby and I had most of it. The only negative was that we got 2 very small glasses of wine for $ 17.50 which I felt was too expensive for the volume we were given.

Went here for a late lunch with my wife. The best thing here are the British Columbia wines(which we had and liked) and the views of the harbor. The food was so so. I paid $ 22+ Canadian for Salmon and it was dry!!! Gordon Ramsey would be horrified. I asked for Iced Tea and they said they ran out. In America we would just make more. I also had to ask for ice for my «ice water» but hey what do I know, I’m an ugly American. In my mind, I feel it is my God given right to have ice and lots of it. But on the outside, I just smiled politely and made my request. They brought the ice. I am not in Kansas anymore.

Of all the times I wished I could rate a place zero stars, this one is the one. It is a good thing we are loving Vancouver and having a nice vacation, because otherwise this place would have ruined it. Stay away and don’t go! Details: We wandered by this amazing LOOKING restaurant at its amazing LOCATION in the morning and happened to look at the menu which also LOOKED good. We should have checked reviews, but we didn’t. We came back at dinner time and were seated in a amazing table on the beautiful patio. What a view! Everything was set up for a lovely dinner. From that point on, everything was a complete and total disaster. This«Italian» restaurant that plays a soundtrack of hits from Motown in the 1950’s at loud volume has perhaps the worst service in the world and extremely mediocre food. We were completely ignored for at least 20 minutes when we first sat down, had to get up and flag someone down. Eventually, after a long delay we were able to order our meals and eventually, after another long delay, we got water, drinks and almost inedible terrible bread, so dry it made us cough, already pre-drizzled with oil that made it nasty. An Italian restaurant with non-fresh bread? Crazy. The pastas were meh. The Arctic Char was a nice big piece of well cooked fish, but absolutely full of bones, the whole skeleton of the fish, the waiter could have at least mentioned this. The waiter was a nice guy and extremely apologetic each time he came by, but his visits were few and far between. At the end when we were finished, we sat and sat and sat, finally I got up, asked to speak to a manager, complained and said we really just want our check so we can leave. Even that took another lengthy wait. Just a real poorly managed tourist trap, in a great attention grabbing location. Stay away!

I took lunch there and had a good meal at a reasonable price(unusual for a venue associated with a conference center). I didn’t realize breakfast was served here – would have made some mornings much happier for me. The pasta dish I was served was a large portion(larger than I expected!), fresh and tasty. Service was prompt but not as detail-oriented as it could be: they refilled my unsweetened iced tea with … sweetened tea. Not the end of the world, but an unpleasant surprise for diabetics.
