Got the Thai red curry one day and the wonton Wednesday(wonton soup and California roll) today. The food is not bad, small portion tho, so the price is a bit high for the amount of food they serve. Overall a decent place to have lunch in coal harbor area, comparing to other restaurants here.

Walked by and almost didn’t notice the place, but glad I did! Sushi and Sashimi was Very Good and Fresh! Friendly staff and surprisingly well priced for the area. Bin back many times now and food is always good and consistent.

My wife was craving for some Asian food — rice dishes in particular — and this place caught our attention while walking towards Canada Place. Great location, service is fine, but the food is really nothing to write home about.

I came here in the early afternoon so it wasn’t too busy. But there was only one server, I had the Kale gomaae and the Deluxe rice bowl. Both very good only gripe was maybe the gomaae wasn’t cold enough. But all and all the food was good. The service was okay, everyone was super nice. But it felt slow and that there were a few hiccups. I’ll be coming back though!

I have eaten here many times and the service has always been great and the food always of great quality. Try it out. Love the red Thai curry and the while the menu selection is small the sushi is good.

Came here for the first time today with a colleague. This used to be Kasa Sushi — how do i know that? Because the receipt said so lol. However, upon searching Unilocal,I soon realized that was the previous business that closed and it’s actually BC Bistro now. I ordered the Hotpot(szechuan beef broth with chicken and handmade flat noodles) and my colleague ordered a sushi combo and tuna cone. Hotpot was just meh. Broth was something you can make at home with Campbells and chili oil. The chicken seemed to be half a chicken breast chopped into squares that came out dry and chewy. The handmade noodles didn’t have any texture to it and was clearly made by someone who does not have any type of training or experience in noodle making. My colleague said her sushi was good and higher quality than typical take out Sushi places, so that’s the reason why I’m giving it a 3 star rather than 2. The view is also pretty nice if you get a window seat. Service was ok. Prices were ok for what it was and location. I wouldn’t come back though unless other people absolutely needed to come here. Good for a business lunch for location and restaurant seating format. No for everyday lunches.

I live in the area and never really noticed BC Bistro before, I thought it was a lunch bistro place and didn’t realize it was asian fusion. When I was looking for gluten free hot pot in Vancouver this is what came up. All of their hotpots were gluten free and the one I had was amazing. It wasn’t busy so the food came quickly and the service was good, although not amazing. Being from the neighbourhood I would definitely go back because it’s really hard to find gluten free asian food.

I came down years ago for dinner on someone else and since I wasn’t paying, can’t complain about the price. You’re paying for the view, the location and the ambiance. The food was decent, I love sushi and it’s hard to f*ck up vegetarian sushi, however, over all everything was over priced with nothing to show for. Waitress was neither here nor there with attitude and service.

I’ve walked/ran by BC Bistro several times as it’s in my work neighbourhood. Looking at the patio umbrellas outside and peeking inside, I always thought that it was just a little tapas and drinks/bar type of restaurant. Colour me surprised when it turns out that it’s a Japanese restaurant! We came here for lunch on a weekday. One big PLUS off the bat — those of you who work in the Financial district know how hard it is to find a quiet restaurant to have a nice meal over lunch(that doesn’t include the use of plastic utensils and a loud food court). BC Bistro is in quiet little corner at Bute and Cordova(get it — B.C.), and has the prettiest view of Coal Harbour and the North Shore across the street! Foodwise — it’s just ok. The intention(and anticipation) is there with some innovative dishes(BBQ duck maki roll, Coconut Curry hotpot, kale gomaae). However, the flavour does NOT make up for it. It’s not bad… but it’s not GREAT either. On the plus side, service is good. They messed up one of our orders and gave us a free apple tart with ice cream(this was nice). Looking at their dinner menu, they seem to have more of a «fusion» flare — flatbreads, satays, tapas-style. And they have Canucks game day specials. So I will definitely give them another shot.

Not bad! This place is nestled in the Coal Harbour area of Downtown Vancouver at the corner of Bute on West Cordova Street. Service was excellent and the sushi was acceptable. $ 10 for large saki and $ 14 for sushi dinner included a small California Roll(«with real crab»), and 6 assorted nigiri. Presentation is part of the artistic package. I did find the rolls and nigiri a little loose and the eel a little bit fishy. Staff friendly and attentive. Reasonably priced, clean, and modern. Worth a try.
