Action Lock & Security

I find the negative reviews «interesting» to say the least. I have required the services of Action on several job sites now and they have always been professional, courteous, honest, and priced fairly. I am a customer for life, I wholeheartedly recommend them to friends and family :)

It was terrible correspondence, especially emergency time, My bag were stolen during travel and all ID and keys are inside bag. So I needed to change key immediate coz thief may come to my place, I send new ID after I got and sent them my new ID, gave them all information too and explains my situation. but it took way too long and they refused our request. (a couple of days) and we gave up and called to another locksmith. They checked my ID and gave them all information and after that they came to my place within one hour. Got more worry and waste my time. I will not recommend this lock smith especially people who need to replace key immediately. Other locksmith gave us more clear ID check and came immediately.

I was moving to a new apartment in the neighbourhood and needed to get duplicate keys for my family. Although I had walked by dozens of times I did not know they are locksmiths. Fooled by the «Security» sign.
The guy who made my keys was friendly and efficient. No fuss no muss.

We were looking to duplicate keys to a «PacLock» padlock. We tried calling/​going to so many locksmith stores, but they did not carry that brand. We finally stumbled on to Action, and yes! they did have it!
Thanks to Geoff B. for his review. I had seen the sign on their store before, but had assumed them to be an alarm system-​type company, since I had noticed the «Security» more than the «Lock».

I finally got a coveted storage locker in my apartment building, so I needed to replace the padlock. Not wanting to hike the 15 minutes to Canadian Tire in this miserable weather I stopped by this oddly shaped storefront instead.
Past all the safes and down a short hallway I came to what amounts to the showroom. It smells like a machine shop, so I can only assume that they run a brisk business cutting keys. I didn’t really have time to look around because as soon as I showed my face the locksmith emerged from the back and pointed me at the padlocks immediately. When I had made my choice he even pulled out the same lock that wasn’t sealed in a blister package for $ 2 less.
I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to return to get keys cut or any other lock related service.
