Yeti Nails at College & Bay

My go to place for eyebrow threading! Convenient downtown location. I’ve also done my nails there a few times and have always been happy with the results, any smudging has come from my own clumsiness in hitting my nails against something before they’re dry. But it’s always neat when they’re finished.

I was desperate for a manicure before an event and couldn’t get to my regular places and relied on the recommendation on BlogTO to go somewhere near work, Yeti Nails, last week at College and Bay. It was horrendous. The place was dirty, the woman who started my manicure did not know how to do a manicure and had the owner/​manager watching over her and telling her what to do as she went. (I agree that everyone has to be trained, but then charge me a training price or ask me before she starts, I would have been fine with it, had I known.) She filed the tops of my nails, weakening them and making them now all peel. When it came time to giving me a massage she had no strength and could barely apply hand cream, which I asked her to stop so I could do it myself. When someone else walked in for a pedicure, she was shooed away and the owner/​manager took over to do the massage (which was great) and apply polish, which was horrible. I had red polish all over my skin. On the cuticles and on the tips of my fingers. The top coat did not fully coat the polish. She did attempt to clean up the tips of my skin and ended up taking off some of the polish off of the tips of my nails. My polish was chipping the next day. In the world of first world problems, it was the worst manicure I have had in years. I don’t expect much from a mani, but I do expect cleanliness, some sort of care that I am not leaving with polish on my skin and some care when painting my nails. I was really hoping that I would find somewhere a block away from my office where I could pop in after work for a quick mani. So disappointed and angry that I have weakened nails and wasted my money on a recommendation that was quite good. Thanks for letting me at least let others know about my experience. Sorry for the long rant.

A Yeti Nails on college? Yes!
I always go to the Richmond location for shellac and threading, so I decided to go in for my usual at their new location.
Was super happy with their consistent service.
The woman who did my nails was very thorough and didn’t rush whatsoever and my eyes brows looked great! She kept my natural shape, which is what I usually prefer.
Can’t wait to go back!

I went to Yeti Nail in mid April and had a new set of nails applied. The charge for this was $ 60. The nails started falling off the very next day. I then went to Angel Nails to have the lost nails replaced. Right away I was told, my nails had not been properly manicured and the the new set had not been properly applied. I had a whole new set from Angel nails applied, it has been at least 3 weeks and my Angel nails are still like new. They cost $ 35. The ladies at Yeti were very nice, but I will not return here or recommend it to anyone.

Best place to get your nails and eyebrows done! I’ve become a recent regular and will be sure to be going for pedicures in the summer time. :)

Great value. The ladies are really kind & attentive, they did a very thorough job and took their time with massaging (the bonus shoulder rub while my nails dried was great!)

Ganga was very thorough with my Shellac manicure. When the colour I initially chose was too light she offered to do the last coat in another colour and it turned out fantastic.
She was very careful and I would definitely see her again. Also — the rainbow pedicure tubs need my feet in them next time!
Lovely little spot, I heard about them from their other location at Richmond and Spadina.

I was very disappointed in yeti nails. I got a shellac mani & pedis– the application was awful– mine was on my cuticles and actually peeled off the next day. The pedi was similarly disappointing– polish off of the nails, very minimal exfoliation. A nice leg massage though. The staff were very nice, but it’s not like the prices are that cheap where the quality should be as poor as it was.
