Brunch is amazing. Big portions at low price with very friendly service. Usually empty at brunch time for no good reason.

Gord and I had supper this evening at the Richmond Rogue. We both ordered wings. Gord had his with no sauce and onion rings. I had mine with Thai chili sauce and fries. They were good. The music could have been more upbeat … it was a bit too slow and jazzy for a pub. Daniel was our server. He was friendly and took good care of us.

Good restaurant. Their food is better than the average bar food. I have had their Rogue Burger(a burger with a sunnyside egg) and it is awesome. I have also had their beef ribs which were amazing. Service is friendly and casual.

Great food. Reasonably priced drinks. Friendly service. This is my neighborhood pub(and location for my birthday gathering annually!) and I love it! PS — If you end up there on the day when the roti is the special, order it! It is massive and delicious. And the sesame teriyaki tuna salad is a gem… simple but tasty salad with two huge steaks of tuna that for me have always been cooked perfectly(I like it rare!)

Not a good brunch. The place was empty except for one other table. No one came by for about 10 – 15 min. Ordered the standard breakfast with rye toast and coffee. I get whole wheat toast, no beans and«our coffee isn’t ready.» Ask for butter and jam, jam has gone bad. Never had jam that went bad before ever. I get out my money to pay. «Did you get your coffee yet?» «No.» “Oh, well then I’ll take it off your bill. Sorry about that.” «Ok, thanks.» The good? Eggs were cooked right. Place was clean and the waitress was polite. I will try this place again for dinner.

Pretty impressed by this place. I’m never in this area but was meeting a friend that works at George Brown. We got the $ 15 Friday Prime Rib special and it was really good! Cooked perfectly with a nice char on the outside, the way I like it. I would for sure come back here again.

The Richmond is a great place if you’re looking for a very relaxed pub type dinner and a few pints. The food is good, not excellent, but I was impressed all things considered. The burger my friend got was great with a fried egg, sauteed onions and mushrooms on it. One of my favourite things about this place is that it has sumersby cider on tap and that’s pretty rare. If you’ve never had Sumersby that’s another story but basically it’s alcoholic allen’s apple juice and very delicious. The bartenders here are great and there’s always a few regulars around to strike up a conversation with. Recommended!

Okay, I’m officially done with this lousy restaurant. Had the chicken fingers with fries. Paid an extra $ 2.25 on top of the outrageous $ 11.85 price to upgrade to poutine. The waitress brought out a plate of 4.5 lukewarm chicken tenders and a small bowl of crappy poutine which contained half the amount of fries you would normally get. The gravy was atrocious and the cheese was shredded and also atrocious! When I got the bill I asked the lady why upgrading my fries to a poutine meant getting half the amount of fries and she said, ‘ya sometimes when u spread the fries out on the plate it looks like more but it’s not very much less.” Apparently 7 measly fries in an ikea bowl can shape shift into a big stack of fries on a ceramic plate! Don’t even gimme that! Usually my coworkers can’t finish their fries and they leave amounts like that behind! And I’m NOT exaggerating. Going here for lunch was a colossal mistake. I went here solely because Fusaros was too busy. The Richmond Rogue’s prices are ridiculous cuz the food is average at best. You seem to think that one goofy chandelier gives you the right to charge the same prices as high end restaurants when your food is on par with Michellina TV dinners. You’re paying for the ambiance people. You WILL continue to be hungry unless you spend $ 40. You’re on my NGB list now Rogue. Hmmph! NGB = NEVERGOBACK

Have been coming here for a 1 ½ years and have become regulars. The best thing about the Rogue is the staff. They are extremely friendly and welcoming. I believe the food was somewhat better when we first started going. It’s become somewhat less consistent, eg. we often have to send the wings back to be tossed in sauce again. The owner(Nancy I believe?) does care. She asked about our subpar breakfast once and explained she was trying out a new cook. She gave us a complimentary coupon for a desert next time we were in. Big plus: Grimbergen on tap at the moment. It’s no Sin & Redemption, but it’s close by, has a good beer menu, food is inexpensive and the atmosphere is low-key and relaxing.

Very friendly staff. Feels kind of like a modern day Cheers. Went with a friend who goes there regularly and he was immediately welcomed in like old friends. Food was quick and tasty. Location was bad but the area is improving rapidly and I can see this place doing a lot better in the near future.

Every time I come off the Don Valley Parkway to head across Richmond Street to get home I pass the Richmond Rogue Alehouse. It always looks like a tempting place to stop in. Tonight, Teena and I sought it out for supper. The Richmond Rogue is a very warm and comfortable place. The bartender was friendly and looked after us well. There were a few TV‘s around and a private booth with a fireplace and TV. I had wings and rings which were lightly breaded with an excellent sweet chili sauce on the side. I loved it. Teena got the fish and chips. She thought it was just OK and that the fish had too much batter on it. Not only did they have the usual big brewery beers, but also have 6 craft beer on tap which is a big plus for me It‘s a nice spot which I will go to whenever in the neighborhood. Going to be hard to drive by it now!

I’m so happy to have a place like this so close to where I live. Their food is pretty good, I would say above average for pub-type food(they make an excellent turkey burger, and you can order sweet potato frings(half sweet potato fries, half onion rings) as a side: O), their prices are totally reasonable, the atmosphere is nice, and the waiter I typically get is a very sweet and polite guy. If you’re looking for good pub food at an excellent price, I highly recommend it.

We headed down to Fusaros, but last minute decided we wanted a livlier scene. The Richmond Rogue had a good crowd so we popped in and were pleasantly surprised. I personally love the King East vibe of the place. It managed to avoid being too trendy and the boring irish pub vibe simultaneously. It does have a bit of a student vibes, I’m assuming from George Brown nearby, but it isn’t overwhelming. Food isn’t spectacular l, but it’s good and the price is right. I’m looking forward to seeing what else pops up near by to serve the booming condominiums in the area.

The Rogue Burger is amazing… they put a sunnyside egg in it and when the yolk explodes over the burger… wow! The poutine is actually very good too. you can upgrade your fries to the poutine. The jerk chicken wrap is also really good. The only thing that isn’t so great are the wings. A bit pricey considering they don’t come with the usual fries… Overall, very good food for a pub style place.

if you like scotch like I do try this place, the pub grub is good, the staff friendly and polite. The scotch is great the atmosphere is very relaxing, and you feel at ease. look at the bar and ask to see the bottle with the snake spider in it I don‘t think anyone will ever drink it, but boy is it neat and worth the trip to the bar cheers or as we say when drinking scotch. up your kilt

Hey vegetarians, I know this might seem like a unlikely place to find an amazing Veggie Burger, but I kid you not. I just happened to be working in the area and decided to check this place out. At first glance the menu didn’t seem all that veg friendly, until I read this on the menu«Veggie Burger — Homemade soy-based patty blended with sweet corn, garden peas and mushroom, topped with tomato, lettuce, red onion and a pickle, served with fries.» Did you catch the key word there? «Homemade». Now why in the world do they bother making their own veggie burgers, I don’t know, but I do know that it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s huge and juicy and delicious. The bar was pretty awesome too. Great décor, and a great pub feel to it. Unfortunately I haven’t been there in awhile and I’m a little concerned about this«make over» Todd V. mentions. I’ll have to make a special trip out there again soon. In fact my only complaint about this place is its location. Move downtown please. :)

Forgive me for putting on my «I Remember When» old-man hat, but I remember when this place used to try to be an authentic Scottish pub with Scottish ales, and food and the like. So Scottish that it tried to be, it had a Rangers Club sandwich and a Celtic Club sandwich where the only difference was the name and the supporter who ordered them. Cute. But the years of folks forgetting about this place took their toll and ran this place into the ground somewhat. Now, since going through an episode of Restaurant Makeover, it has retained its warm pub-by feel, but has been cleaned up and brings an inviting menu and list of taps that will satisfy even the purist. My new introduction since the makeover came after a particularly gruelling night of soccer and a need for a thirst-quencher and late-night bite. My fellow teammates and I descended for pitchers of beer and not knowing anything about the menu since the renovation, opted for the sports platter of perogies, wings, beef ribs, bruschetta, and fries. Though somewhat scattered in its range, the menu holds up on the more gastro-pub side of pub fare. They even have their own club if you feel like this is a place to get to frequently. Apparently membership provides discounts and invites to special members-only events. It’s a bit far afield for me, but if you live in the area, you may wish to give it a look. Definitely a place to try out or retry if you’ve been in the previous messy days of sectarian sandwiches.
