As an incredibly average coffee shop, The Grind offers up a Korean-based menu with rather poor coffee. This would have been rated 1 star, but the décor is so cute and brimming with beautiful antiques that I had to give it a bonus star. The wifi is very shaky and unreliable, and all the furniture is worn-out. The Grind serves up coffee in beautiful cups– unfortunately the taste of the coffee is subpar to every other coffee joint. The cappuccino tasted just like the americano, and the incredibly sour and acrid flavour really causes a person to make a face. The back of the café is very drafty, yet at other times it feels stuffy and warm. The chandeliers are so low that I knocked my head against it more than once(I am 5’5 for reference). The lighting is dim and it is hard to read in this setting. I will not come back.

The interior is really cute and the location extremely handy… but my review is based solely on the coffee, which is rather meh. The lattes taste like regular coffee(not espresso) run through an espresso machine and mixed with milk. I added an extra star because the café is a little hidden gem and reminds me a bit of my grandma’s kitchen.

It is good for a quick breakfast. They also have custom and pre-made omlettes. Unlike most places, their pre-made omlettes are not stuffed with cheese and salt so it is good for a healthy breakfast.

This little underground café is so adorable. The back seating area creates the illusion of a quaint tea house, with antique furniture. There is even a rotary phone on a table. The coffee was really good too. If I was a gothic lolita I would have a tea party here.

Stumbled into here by accident but turned out to be a great little spot! Ordered a veggie dumpling soup and it was delicious! They had a lot of baked goodies but I opted to order a latte instead and I was pleasantly surprised. They carry Pig Iron! I will be back for sure.
