I’m glad the others enjoyed themselves, but the only thing right about this place for me was the name. It really does feel like a cave, in that it’s small and cramped, the layout doesn’t leave many options to get around, and there’s nothing special about the way it looks. I get that this is part of a hostel and is catering to a certain no-frills crowd, but I needed to share this alternate view to give Unilocalers a balanced picture of what to expect. Also… «mediocrely delicious?» What? The food was average.

Super chill bar underneath a hostel. Most of the people who hang out here are internationals staying at the hostel. I love how the section in the back feels like a cozy cave — really intimate environment to chat in. Pints are 5 bucks. Regular menu is cheap and mediocrely delicious. On Sundays, they have a Roast Dinner only(no menu). Tonnes of activities going on every night of the week. Trivia, Open Mic, drinking games, and the like. All in all, cool place to check out if you’re visiting, or if you’re a Torontonian who likes cheap beer!

Great atmosphere here. The interior décor is very chique w wooden tables and exposed brick. Very friendly atmosphere. You feel like you’re in a cave. Good for intimate outing or date. Great acoustics when they have live music playing. Beer nights 5 dollar pints is a good deal.
