Teuscher Chocolates of Switzerland

I love that we have Teuscher in Toronto and am thankful that William Ashley brought them in. While the store is tiny, it packs a punch.
Always get the champagne truffles. It’s their specialty. Staff are amazingly friendly and i highly recommend calling in for larger orders. They fly in their products once a week on wednesday’s during the christmas season, so that’s the best day to purchase.

Not so good chocolate. Very bad service experience.
Was visiting Ashley’s and stepped over to the chocolate counter to buy a dozen truffles. Also bought some a few weeks ago.
The usual server tries to do her best. However today a manger or a co worker interrupted while I was choosing my selection. the interrupting lady did not even show the decency of any courtesy and kept the server engaged while I just stood by. she apparently was trying to acquire a few pieces for herself. She then left without showing any concern that she interrupted a paying customer.
I felt so helpless. Comp! eted my transaction and left. And after this rude interruption the chocolates felt tasteless.
Will never return to this chocolate shop ever again. Will go to Lenoidas, Godiva, or some artisnal chocolatier in TO. BiBi Teuscher.

I must add this.
After this review, two very well meaning team members from «William Ashley China», where the chocolate kiosk is located, at Bloor St, reached out to me.
I must acknowledge that my wife and I have been a William Ashley customer since at lease 1992. Always satisfied, and always tried to buy our regular gift items from them. They have a wide range of beautiful gist from affordable to hip price margin.
We miss the closure of their location in Mississauga.
The Teuscher service that I reviewed falls under William Ashley management. The team members that called were very concerned and empathetic, and took all the details and understood the issue. They were very conscious of William Ashley customer service quality and customer expectation.
I am certain that they will sincerely look into the issues and do their best to avoid any similar experience.
I am satisfied, and have promised that I will visit the chocolate corner their at least once again.
All is well that ends well!
