This review serves as two things, an amazing review of an amazing person/​business AND with that as a personal announcement of my own I suppose. But first, a little background on how we got to where we are today.
Two and a half years ago, one of my closet friends confided in me that he was going to be proposing to his long time girlfriend and had been introduced through a friend to a woman named Susan who had helped said friend out in designing an amazing engagement ring. My friend began to talk about what his the girlfriend (now wife) wanted and lucky for him had a very specific wish list to provide. Weeks later after much back and forth, he had a beautiful custom ring that truly blew everyones mind when they saw it. I was a confidant through the process of his ring build and proposal and was really impressed with the level of personal service he received from Susan. I was single at the time but made a mental note at the time.
Six months later, I met someone very special and fast forward almost two years and I decided it was time to be introduced to Susan personally. My friend made introductions and we set up a time to chat on the phone to discuss my custom built engagement ring.
We arranged a phone call, where she wanted to get to know more about my girlfriend, about me, our relationship, our story and most importantly, what it is my girlfriend liked (and my budget). I really liked this step of the process because it was a testament of how invested she wanted to get in the process to fully understand who we were, what we wanted and ultimately what was important to us.
The process moved quickly after this and the next step was for Susan to take my budget and vision for the ring, and vet diamonds at a wholesaler on my behalf. She’s got a fantastic eye for picking out diamonds that ride the line between one rating and another (VS1 to VV2, colourless to near colourless, and Very Good to Excellent cuts). When you’re working on a budget this is HUGE because she helped me source out a perfect diamond that really should be rated much much higher but for one reason or another just happened to fall through the cracks or had been evaluated unfairly. I had a whole list to choose from and after nearly two hours of looking at diamonds through a 10x loop, I had narrowed it down to two.
The next step was to have CAD renderings of the ring created for approval so we could see in 3D what the ring would look like and we could make adjustments accordingly before being cast and molded. Once we had come to an agreement on the look I made a final decision on the diamond from my two choices and Susan took everything and ran with it from there.
Fellas, if you’re thinking about taking the big step, Susan is like having your mom and your girlfriends mom in the room with you to help (without pushing her opinions on you). Throughout the process Susan continually put a personal touch to this by framing our discussions around, what she would accept in terms of quality and design if this was for her own daughter — meaning she wants only the best for you (and you significant other).
So in saying that, know that if there is a day or two you don’t hear from her, fear not, she’s kicking ass and taking names on your behalf and is working to produce the best end result. An end result that will make you as the proposer proud to give and blow the mind of proposee.
In my fairytale, the ring was gorgeous, far better than I had even envisioned. The fire from the diamonds exploded from the box the moment I opened it in her office. When I proposed to my girlfriend with it she was absolutely gobsmacked and speechless. Together with Susan, we had made her sparkly dream ring a reality (and stayed pretty close to budget for me).
It was such a pleasure to work with Susan. She works so much on word of mouth with her name being whispered from one would-​be groom to the next, but with this review I hope that this is the first time someone is shouting a beaming recommendation and introduction to all those out there kicking tires at mall jewelry stores.

Can’t thank Susan enough for helping me make my girlfriend (now fiancés) dream come true. Looking forward to going back to her for custom designed wedding bands in the not so distant future.
