I had an appointment for juvederm to be injected into my lips on Friday the 15th at 3:30. I was told to arrive 15 minutes earlier than my appointment. I arrived at 3:10, my first consultation was with a lady named Claudia at 3:30, I don’t even know what she was there or if she was any sort of registered nurse at all. Afterwards I was told to I would consult with a nurse and then have my injections done immediately after. I sat in the reception area for another 25 minutes or so and finally Joanne came to meet me and bring me for a consultation to see exactly what I wanted. She spoke to me for about 5 minutes and seemed a little bit unorganized and wasn’t very friendly. I feel it’s part of the nurses job to build a trusting relationship so the patient feels more comfortable and safe. She then asked Doctor mulholland to come into the room and meet me. It was very brief and after he had left she told me she couldn’t inject me until 4:30. So I then had to return to the reception area for an additional 25 – 30 minutes and finally had my juvederm administered. The process seemed too fast and she didn’t use very much finesse as the past nurses I’ve been with have. After the billing and going over after-care it was almost quarter to five. So I had been at the medical office for more than an hour and a half for such a small procedure which is completely ridiculous and not worth the discounted price at all. It’s been 3 days since my appointment and I have 2 large bumps on my upper lip which are noticeable to other people. I did online research and there’s been many articles that say the bumps are likely caused due to poor technique when inserting and removing the needle. I would not reccommend anyone going to spa medica because they have horrible customer service and quickly get their patients in and out without doing a proper job.

I tried to consult with them twice. On my first attempt, no one got back to me for over a week. When I called to enquire, no apologies were given and the receptionist even sounded annoyed. I thought I would give them another chance for another cosmetic procedure, laser hair removal. I got in touch with them easily this time around, was given a very convenient time slot for the upcoming weekend and was looking forward to my appointment. The morning of my appointment however, they called me to cancel it because of staffing issues. When I asked to be rescheduled, the next convenient time for me would be in about 1 month. No effort was made to make up for the inconvenience. It’s either their way or nothing. Well, I chose nothing with them and my way with someone else. Too bad for them, because I tend to be a loyal client.

SpaMedica has been my «go-to-place» for all things beauty for some time now. From laser hair removal, to botox and fillers, to skin rejuvenation, I have always been thrilled with my results. The staff is informative, professional and friendly. I have tried other venues but always return for the level of service and expertise I receive at SpaMedica. G.S., Toronto
