The pharmacy is very awkwardly organized making it hard to move around and the pharmacist is very rude and dry. She did not listen to what I was saying and I felt like she was critiquing me.

Store is too cramped making it difficult for people to line up correctly near the cashier area especially for seniors who rely on walkers and scooters, that come by to pick up their prescription medication. This store needs to reformat their set up that way people, especially the elderly(with assisted walkers/scooters) are able to move around here without any obstacles in their way, particularly with the aisle shelves blocking them. This store definitely fails to accommodate these elderly citizens and needs to think of the future generations that will eventually become old as well, especially my generation of youth who love drugs already :)

Very poor customer service at the pharmacy, the clerk started lecturing me about not listening, when she was mumbling something under her breath. High customary fee as well:$ 13. Not worth your time.

I just went here was able to fill my prescription no issue lady said 15 mins to wait I went out came back in 23mins. Was done and waiting for me. The lady who handed it to me told me the issues to watch out for. Only issue why I’m not giving 5 stars is due to no real drug info on paper.

I purchased an over-the-counter(OTC) drug, called Extrastrength Tylenol Nighttime from the Rexall pharmacy located at 595 Bay Street, Toronto, ON on January 24, 2015. It turns out that the drug had an expiration date of 7⁄2014. As the pharmacy SHOULD know, once the expiration date has passed there is no assurance that the drug has the safety, identity, strength, quality and purity characteristics it purports or represents to possess. As such, Health Canada considers the sale of expired drugs to be the sale of unlicensed drugs. According to the Drug and Pharmacies Regulation Act: ONTARIOREGULATION58⁄11 s. 24(6), «The pharmacy MUST have and maintain a program to ensure, the safe and appropriate disposal of waste and expired consumables, including drugs and other medications». Failing to remove a drug or natural health product from pharmacy stock beyond its expiry date is considered an Act of proprietary misconduct [O. Reg. 58/11, s. 50(8)]. Not only is this pharmacy in violation to the regulation, it is also putting consumers at risk: the website hosted by a team of Ontario pharmacists, says that in some cases, a drug’s composition could change over time, making it potentially hazardous. Due to the gravity of this incident I am posting a review on Unilocal so that consumers can exercise caution and check the expiration dates before buying from Rexall because sadly some of their retailers are not conscientious and responsible as they should be.

This particular Rexall is conveniently located in the Atrium, not too far from the walk-in clinic that’s right on the corner of Bay and Dundas. This is probably one of the weirdest Rexall’s I’ve ever been to… The layout of the place is weird — first of all, you can look down into the store from the middle entrance of the Atrium, so hypothetically speaking, if you’re on the side of the store with the food, someone could be creeping you and you wouldn’t even know it. This location is small, so while they have the basics covered, don’t expect to come here looking for something obscure — you’re better off going over to the Shoppers. The last few times I’ve been in here, including my most recent visit this week, I’m always thrown off by the stupid checkout area they have. The cash desk is long and is against the front of the store, so there’s no proper place to line up and everyone ends up standing in a clump waiting to pay. Doesn’t help that the cashiers here could clearly care less how long it takes to check you out and are insufferably slow. The pharmacy isn’t too much better, they’re always kinda weird when I drop off prescriptions and they always take longer than expected unless the one woman is working, and she’s great at getting it done fast. Overall, not a great Rexall. You can find better places to shop at pharmacies in the area and unless you’re super lazy, a five minute walk will give you a lot more selection. One good thing about this location is their crazy clearance stuff — you can find some really good deals on seasonal items and chocolate and things. I got a whole pile of xmas stuff here last year for next to nothing a few days after Christmas.
