I came here early in the morning before work to grab a cup of local coffee. They have cute chairs and couches in a little coffee shop. The place when i walk by generally is filled with people. I ordered a cortado(espresso with a small touch of warm milk) to go. The service was friendly and quick(place wasn’t packed yet in the morning) and I enjoyed my quick shot of caffeine. The prices are comparable to other local coffee shops, so it is a perfect place to catch up with friends. I will try their baked goods next time :)

I’m the Unilocal Duchess of this spot for good reason — Red Rocket rocks. When I want to get some work done or just surf away mindlessly, RR is my go-to. THEGOOD: — Every hot drink I’ve tried here has been awesome. My favourites are the lavender green tea latte and the hot chocolate, which is served up with MARSHMALLOWWHIPPEDCREAM(!!!) and a gummy worm! I didn’t know what true love was until I tried marshmallow whipped cream. Get this if you have a sweet tooth.(Tip: Save the gummy worm for last. Once you’re done the hot chocolate, let it wriggle down the empty cup into your mouth. Trust me on this.) — The ambience here is everything you look for in a coffee shop: a quirky, cozy little nook with packed bookshelves, abstract art, inviting leather couches and fairy lights. It has a slight hipster vibe without coming off as pretentious. I always enjoy the music as well — right now, they’re bumping 90s Cher and Deborah Cox. — Prices are generally comparable to Starbucks. A medium hot chocolate, for example, goes for $ 4.15 with tax — definitely worth it when you want to hang out here for a few hours. — Free WiFi is available, as well as wall outlets for those of us with crappy computers — hallelujah! THEBAD: — I’ve got nothing — 5⁄5 stars! Still on my to-do list is to try the scones and other baked goods — I’ll be sure to give them a try and report back. In the meantime, be sure to stop by RR on your next Danforth adventure.

My first visit here, has resulted in this review. I didn’t get a chance to take it all in, I was trying to get my cool pictures(and my wife was talking to me… priority #1 right there). It’s a nice coffee shop, small and serves some tasty treats and drinks, coffee, teas and the like. With the small tables and chairs, it’s a perfect little shop(especially the small but cool patio in front of the café). Similar to a Starbucks but I’d say better because of its uniqueness and not being a franchise. Actually not better to Starbucks, majorly superior. Looking forward to returning. I used to think«why must my wife spend so much money here»? Now I say«Wife! Show them the moneyyyyyy»!!! Maybe not that dramatic, but you see my point I’m sure. You won’t be disappointed going here and spending a few bucks. Well worth the expense.

Cool little coffee shop on Danforth. Came to Toronto so many times and never took the opportunity to explore Danforth. On this warm and sunny day in November, this is the perfect find! As soon as you walk in you see 2 couches there… so inviting. I’m happy I was able to get a seat since the place was packed when I arrive a bit passed 9 am. They have a good selection of coffee and I opted for a cortado. .which was rich in flavor :) They also have some specialty drinks… which I will try next time I come back. Also had a berry muffin which was lovely as well. They have a little patio outside and since today is quite warm, there are people sitting there enjoying the sun :)

Good. Really good. Nice, kind people, nice atmosphere, really decent coffee. A place you can meet a friend, or bring your laptop and do a little work. Nice little neighbourhood joint. Recommend.

This is a review for cold beverages. I’ve tried the sweet tea and italian soda. Both were tasteless. Thinking the sweet tea was going to be too sweet, I asked for it to be not as sweet but then I found it tasteless. Italian soda lacked more syrup. Drinks weren’t filled to the top either. I’ll try the baked goods next time and see how it goes.

I’ve only been here for the weekly comedy shows at 8pm on Saturday night. I’ve had coffee and beer(though not at the same time) and baked goodies. The coffee and cookies are great, the staff is pleasant and it’s pretty groovy they host a free weekly comedy showcase. There’s a lot of seating and it’s a clean and nice place

Really good service and interesting artsy vibe! Kindof like Jimmy’s in Kensington. I’m glad I came here, it’s fast and they have great latte art.

Best food ever! Coffee is not fancy, weak and expensive. But the food is definitely worthy!

I took a 3 day trip through Canada, coffee-questing the whole way, and found this establishment’s espresso some of the best I’ve had along the way ^.^ I had a marvelous dry cappuccino, with a single long shot, and was greeted with a distinctly smooth and nutty drink topped with a beautiful white cloud of foam. My companion got some drink that she described as tasting quite like it likely should have, but was far too sweet for her preferences. Staff was friendly and, when asked to trade the aforementioned drink out for a simple dark roast with room, were more than willing to, though wondered if the drink were made incorrectly. The atmosphere was nice, with indoor and outdoor seating, alright music and pleasant artwork. In all I’d go out of my way to return here on future trips.

Overpriced mediocre coffee. The scone I had was pretty stale too. Even when the place is empty it takes forever to get your order.

Very nice place, good services, comfy sitting,… and they accept credit cards! Very rare for coffee places of this setting. Great place to read a book, work on a laptop, meet with friends or work meeting…

Saturday. September 6, 2014: I’ll admit it. I’m not a fan of coffee house culture unless I’m meeting somebody new. I just prefer to stay home since good coffee is easy to make and I like controlling the music. Red Rocket might just get me to change my mind. The vibe here is great. The staff are very friendly. It is a comfortable place to drink a coffee. Or eat a scone. We were able to score fresh made scones. And they were the best I’ve ever had. With great places like this in the city, why do we continue to support the chains? If you are local, and seeking coffee, check this place out. If you are into exploring coffee houses in Toronto, this is worth a visit.

My husband and I stopped in to buy a bag of coffee beans since we’re moving away from Folgers and the like. The ladies working that day were helpful and sent us on our way with a bag of freshly ground Reunion Island Deep Space and a free cup of coffee. I have to say, Deep Space is a damn good dark coffee. It’s flavourful and low on acidity which makes it a perfect morning and weekend cup in our household. Our next bag of beans will be coming from Pilot, so stay tuned :)

I moved into an apartment directly across from red rocket and was excited to finally live in an area of the city with so much to offer, Especially all the countless coffee shops on the Danforth as there is nothing more important to me than a good cup of coffee in the morning. However, I find myself a bit disappointed. Red rocket coffee is not the best coffee I’ve had but their Americanos are the best that I have had from the other local coffee shops I’ve visited around this area. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good cup I just held higher expectations as there is many more indie coffee shops that are just so much more better such as te aro, remarkable bean and broadview espresso. These places are far too far away to be considered a local though. Red rocket is however much better than the café in the only and coffee creama up the road. I still have many many more to try yet though!

SCONES, get the scones. Yesterday we moved directly across the road so naturally our Saturday morning coffee was here. I had a caramel iced latte with a banana and blueberry scone and my fiancé had a normal brewed coffee with an Oreo scone! Being British I am usually very picky about scones but this place blew me away. It was huge! So soft on the inside with a nice punch of flavour, great combination. The latte was average, it didn’t blow me away but it was nice! I think we have found our new local coffee shop.

The blackout hit me hard last month and I was in desperate need of a strong, hot,(did I mention strong) Cup I coffee! I was heading to work when I noticed the café and immediately screeched on my breaks(safely that is) I was Greeted by a friendly face(Did I mention my power and water had been out for 3 days at this point) So you coffee lovers can understand how desperate I was for my morning coffee! It was perfect! Hot, fresh and Strong;) This made my day! Will stop by again!

I think I’ve found the dreamiest coffeeshop in the entire East End(yes, even better than Dark Horse). Now, I’m not a coffee drinker, but I am a tea snob, and their loose leaf blends(the only really acceptable way to make tea) are nuanced, flavourful and a delight on the tongue. Staff is friendly, and last time I came here, I had an in-depth chat with the manager who used me to taste-test some new(delicious) granola they were going to be bringing in. Speaking of taste, the baked goods here are fabulous. I just ate one of the best scones I’ve ever had and I believe they make everything in-house. Oh, also? They have(very nice) beer in bottles! Very nice ambiance inside — bright, comfortable and cozy. And I adore the music selection. They do have outlets to plug in computers, but not piles of them. I could happily whittle away my hours in this place, reading, catching up on email, grooving to the music, and chatting with the staff.
