I had a good experience here. The name of the person who runs the store is Alex. I purchased a solid state drive(SSD) hard drive from him to upgrade my wife’s work laptop. I also paid him to 1) install the drive into the laptop; 2) re-install Windows 10; and 3) move over all the data from the old hard drive onto the new hard drive. The price Alex charged for the SSD was competitive(I did a quick Google search to verify) and the service charge was what I was accustomed to paying back when I used to go to those very competitive small computer stores that aggressively competed with one another around College and Spadina. Most importantly, he did all three of the service requests mentioned above perfectly. And the laptop runs much faster than before. Alex also came across as quite pleasant and I plan to do business with him in the future.

I was looking for a small speaker for my iPhone. The friendly guy showed me a model, and pointed out that he used the very same one at the front desk of the store. I paid $ 11.25, and went on my merry way. Six days later, I finally had the opportunity to try this thing out. I charged the speaker for a couple of hours, attached it to my phone, and… nothing. I should also mention that the speaker must have been sitting on display for quite a while, to the point where the portion of it exposed to light through the front of the package was discoloured compared to the rest of it. So the next day I took it and the receipt back to the store. The same fellow was at the front desk. After I told him what happened, he quietly studied a calendar and declared that it had been a week and so he couldn’t refund me. I stood my ground – he had never expressed any such return policy when I bought the thing. He ended up haggling with me, and refunded $ 10 of the $ 11.25. After arguing with him, I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I hope the $ 1.25 he earned on the whole transaction was worth it – I’m never setting foot in that store again.

They say open 11am but not a light on or anyone present. I was about to purchase multiple computers. That’s really to bad because it was highly recommended. Hope they can find time in the future.

Don’t bring your cell phone for repair to this store — they will make it even worse. I had to replace a screen on my nexus 5. When I got the phone back: the screen was Ok, however, the sides next to the screen were completely cracked and scratched. There are now gaps between the top of the phone and the bottom which means the dust will be always coming in. All they could offer when I came back third time was to replace the back part. They didn’t even admit that they scratched the rest although my phone was almost brand new before that. I just didn’t even want to leave my phone with them one more time.

I love this store. If you know what you want — you can get it here. The prices are always lower then Best Buy/Future Shop/… They offer the same brands, but somehow they manage to keep the price low.(At least 10% less then all the others.) Even though the store looks tiny from the outside/inside they have a bunch of stuff. What they don’t have, they can quickly order. I bought adaptors, cables, memory, storage, andandand there. It always works great. My Tip: talk to the older guy with the glasses. He’s great. Ask him for the ‘special price’…

Wow the guy here was not helpful. He couldn’t tell the difference between eSATA and IDE when I showed him the IDE hard drive I was holding. He kept trying to convince me that the hard drive was eSATA. The laptop the hard drive came out of was manufactured before eSATA was even on the market! Their technician doesn’t work weekends, which really isn’t surprising. So unless you know exactly what you’re looking for, don’t bother with this place on the weekend. On a side note: Why do computer repair shops always look so disheveled? They’re trying to push new technology so shouldn’t the stores look modern?
