This specialty paint shop has been my choice over the years for a couple reasons. First, they are local and I can walk there or drive and park on their small spot beside the building right on Portland. And the service is great! They will guide you through the paint finishes and choices as well as lend you a paint colour book that you can leave a deposit for and then get a refund when you return it. Their selection of rollers and brushes, etc., is nice too and you can get advice on technique as well. Benjamin Moore is my favourite brand of paint mainly due to Paint Colours advice as it covers so much better than the cheaper brands from Home Depot or Rona. Since the cost of the paint itself is usually only a fraction of the cost of a complete paint job, the value of a good quality paint is obvious and worth investing in. They are open Sundays too!

This is my favorite paint store in downtown Toronto.
They carry quality products, like Benjamin Moore which I think is ten times better than anything you will find at a big box store. They even carry some specialty products which I couldn’t find anywhere else.
The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.
They are also open on Sundays which is a real plus for those weekend projects.
I’m pretty much a regular there.

The paint guy gave me step by step instructions for painting a shitty piece of furniture — a can of oil-​based primer saved me hours of sanding. He also gave me a brush for free (when I tried to pay for it). I love this place.
