What a good guy! And the opticians like him too, they say his prescriptions are always spot on. When we had a question on his day off, he phoned back with his cell phone number. When we called back, he picked up right away, talked with us, told us to go to emergency, and where, and how it would work. His office is piled with collectables, I think maybe antiques are his true vocation, but honestly, he’s great.
Many of the patients are artists, people to whom eyesight is as important as breath.

I’ve had two appointments with Dr Osler and both times he’s been amazing. The appointments are much longer than I expect ’cause he takes the time to carry out the tests properly, not just stop when the hour is up.
When I first saw him, my prescription was too strong and I didn’t even know I had an astigmatism. Turns out it was both eyes! Dr Osler was able to find the perfect prescription that works for distance and also for reading and computer use, though don’t ask me to explain ’cause I couldn’t. Although when he explained it made perfect sense, I should have just recorded it.
While waiting for drops to kick in and dilate my pupils, mid-​way through the appointment, we had great conversation (and coffee during the last visit) that was worth the trip.
While I’m there I always wish I was better at school and could go back and do things over and become an Optometrist. That’s how great he is at what he does and how reverent he is about his profession, that it rubs off on you.
