I don’t understand the negative reviews of this place. Admittedly, I didn’t enjoy my first experience here but then, it grew on me and now I’m a regular. I have never gotten a haircut here, just style and color. The stylists are all very energetic and entertaining and seem passionate about what they do. I usually get a blow-​dry with Ricardo, William or Naze. Ronda’s really good too despite being a junior stylist. The prices are very reasonable and they are open very early in the morning and until 6 – 7 o’clock in the evening which is so convenient.
I got my color done here last week and Ricardo used the very hyped Olaplex bond strengthening system which I absolutely LOVED; if you’re getting your hair colored, especially if you get highlights/​use bleach, this treatment is totally a MUST. It totally rejuvenated my hair and turned back the clock on any damage. Olaplex is the future and I’m glad they have it at this salon.

I thought I’d write this while fresh back from my experience. I work in the buildings above. I needed to get a quick threading job done. I thought I’d give it a try as it is pretty convenient. I’m always a bit nervous letting someone new thread me as sometimes they don’t listen and do what they think rather than what is asked. I’ve been getting threaded for 15 years so I’m pretty familiar with the process.
I arrived about a half hour ago and decided that maybe I would let her thread my brows. She explained to me that she needed to remove all my makeup (in my experience this isnt an absolute). It being mid-​day I told her no. I explained to her that I needed a quick clean up and that I was not too fussed about that but she refused.
I explained to her that this was too difficult for a quick pop in and I would just go somewhere else that would do what I asked. (Thank God she didn’t touch my brows)
She went off the rails — got very upset, making inappropriate comments — very rude, almost yelling– so much so that the front desk person apologized. Clearly an angry woman in general. This didnt need to be a big deal. When I asked who the manger was, another girl pointed to a girl with ‘deer in the headlights’ eyes who shrugged. Way to much trouble for something so simple.
Unilocalers and anyone else listening — steer clear of this place — its not worth the hassle.

I needed a quick bang trim and eyebrow wax and did a walk-​in here on Friday. When I walked out, I was told I was getting a discount b/​c of Christmas. I walked out paying $ 70. The receipt said «wash, cut, style and blowdry — woman». When I asked for a breakdown (since that’s not what I had) I was told they had to use the code b/​c of my discount. I tried to explain once again I just got a bang trim and had my eyebrows done — but to no avail. Apparently I received a «dry-​snip» (never asked or discussed) which is normally $ 70 on its own.
For $ 70 you have a cut from Vidal Sassoon on Avenue Road. As I’ve told every woman in my office: avoid, no matter how convenient the location is.
