If you’re looking for another reason to stay active then this league will definitely help you. This league is just a parent league that host mini leagues for different types of sports. You sign up your team based on the sports league you want to play and you play other teams apart of that league. The sports that they offer leagues for are: — Basketball — Ball Hockey — Dodgeball — Softball — Kickball — Volleyball — Soccer * all are available based on season The cost are mainly about $ 100 a person depending if you pay as an individual or as a team. The locations are pretty local to North York, depending on the sport. I personally play in the dodgeball league and very much enjoy it. This league is divided into Recreation and Intermediate(which I play in) on multiple days of the week at St. Cyrils Catholic School around Yonge and Finch. Other leagues play at different locations. The people in the league including the owner and officials are very friendly but can also take the game seriously. Which is what I like as it shows structure and is not biased. You play with 6 balls with each team starting with 3. We play with people who know the court and play with strategy. League Pro’s/Con’s: Pros: — you build your relationship with your team and friends — can be competitiv — you get to learn and develop your skills in the sport — meet other people from other teams — officiated with trained refs — fair and strict rules Cons: — you can play as late as 10pm and be done at 11pm. — may have uneven skill levels as there will always be one stacked team to annihilate the weaker. Overall, this league is fun and keeps me active. If you have a group of friends that you do everything with then this is definitely a great league to join. Doesn’t matter if you suck or not, you’re with your friends. Who would have thought dodgeball can be competitive. well it is. Nothing like elementary school at all. Highly recommended. If you are interested in this league or dodgeball, let me know and i would be more then happy to futher discuss with you about this.
