Hello Mr. Moinuddin J. Perhaps, you dropped in when we had a casual baker, who was not following our standards and had no finesse. Hence, the reason she’s no longer working with us. We make our pastries fresh daily, and our day olds are clearly marked as such and discounted accordingly. We do not skimp on our ingredients. Nor do we sample stale products, there would be no point in doing so. We have customers who specifically come in to buy our day olds. Our cupcakes are made to order and customized to suit our customers’ taste. We don’t use salt in our icing. Your presumptions about our recipe is false and libellous. We’re in the shop everyday and spend a lot of time getting to know our customers and educating them on our products. We hope that if indeed any of our customers were ever dissatisfied with our product and/or service they would feel comfortable to either drop into the store or call us to discuss. Our employees including ourselves work very hard and we take great pride and care in the products we make and the service we offer. It took us approx 1 year to find a decent space and community to base our shop. The Corso Italia community is a great one with wonderful people and we’re proud that we are a part of this community. Thanks for the review of the products that were made by your friend, hence, the reason she’s no longer working with us. Cheers Yvonne

Sorry to say that this place is sliding in quality. Stale cookie and worst of all they use SALTED butter in their icings!!! That is why the cupcakes are so cloying.OY. BTW don’t bother with the samples. They taste like stale leftover from before. Makes me sad cause our hood could use a decent bakery. :(

Such a nice and welcome addition to the hood. Have tried a few delectables, most recently a chocolate croissant — always excellent. Am giving the wild blueberry pie a try for a dinner party — somehow I think it will be amazing. Made to order so for sure it will be fresh. Stay tuned… Check it out

Stopped in to pick up a few things on our way out of town on a Saturday morning. Disappointed there were no cheese croissants! Woman behind the counter said«Today I just made two chocolate croissants and two amandine.» Which… wha? How do you make so few croissants? Answer: they tasted like they were from the day before. Heavy, doughy, none of the buttery flakiness you want in a croissant. The almond filling in the amandine was sort of runny stuff with flaked almonds that had developed an unpleasant texture in their damp environment. We didn’t even finish the«butter» croissants, just tossed them after a few bites. I want Patachou back!

I have returned for more goodies. Got a brownie and a mixed berries vol au vent on another visit, and an almondine that Yvonne had recommended today. The pastries look as beautiful as they taste, I enjoy them very much. I love coming back and trying different things, and be satisfied with my choices every time.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t very busy. Guessing most of their business is catering. BUT, they do have pretty good wifi, power outlets and coffee! I tried the salty caramel cupcake and a chocolate biscotti which were both pretty good. Both of the staff on hand that day were very pleasant to interact with. From the lack of traffic, I can say that this place is pretty underrated although there is plenty of competition in the area. If I need some wifi/laptop time in this area, I will be going here!
