I came to Parkway Mall Mobilicity because of their advertisement on the Chinese radio station that it was $ 15/month unlimited talk and text, with an additional $ 10/month it was unlimited internet for November 20th, 2015 only as a pre black friday sale. They also had super cheap phones: ZTE Zinger 4G — $ 59.99 ZTE Salem — $ 79.99 Alcatel Evolve 2 — $ 79.99 ZTE Martin 2 — $ 89.99 Blu Studio G — $ 99.99 Moto E — $ 119.99 LGL90 — $ 129.99 Moto E(2nd gen) — $ 129.99 Moto G(2nd gen) — $ 199.99 Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime — $ 249.99 Moto X — $ 369.99 From what I understood, it was: *Unlimited Local Calling *Unlimited Ontario Long Distance *Unlimited international Incoming Calls *Unlimited Internet, Data & Mobile-Hotspot($ 10) *Unlimited Text messaging *Unlimited Picture messaging *Caller ID, Call Waiting, Conference Calling, Call Forwarding We waited, 2.5hours in a SUPER long line before we were able to speak to the people. We literally couldn’t even ask questions cause there was only 3 – 4 people working at the counter and so many people lined up. We did not get a receipt to confirm that we paid for the service. People who purchased phones also did not get a receipt. We found out later, that we needed to pay $ 20 for the SIMCARD and we needed to pay the first 3 months up front all in cash. Also, to unlock your phone, it was $ 35. Okay, so we did that. The guy told us that we needed to come back two days later — so Sunday, to activate the phone. So we did. After waiting another 2.5 hours, this time with ONE person at the counter, we were told that they will text us the activation code for the service. We waited two days… still nothing, so we went again to inquire, we went twice, because the first time, the line was massive again, this time telling us that we needed to bring the phone there and contact Fido, my current phone network. Curious if they will charge us again, we went a fifth time only to learn that this network does NOT include the GTA such as Hamilton and parts of Mississauga. I believe they told us the internet doesn’t go that far either. When doing calls and text, it’s only if you’re in Toronto, that it will be free, or else there will be a roaming. For instance, if you are in Hamilton and you want to give a call or text to Toronto, there will be a fee. When we were in line, we were speaking to other customers, one of which stated that he bought his phone from this Mobilicity in October and the phone already died. Most unfortunately, the phone manufacturer(e.g. Samsung, iPhone) in Canada are not responsible for these phones. Another stated that they waited nearly 3 months to get their phone fixed from Parkway Mall Mobilicity. I’m not saying the company lied to us, but they really didn’t give the full story through radio advertisement. I feel like a lot of customers will continue if their lives revolve around Toronto and small parts of the GTA, but for people like myself and those I have spoke to, I’m not too sure. It’s definitely a smart tactic to not give the FULLSTORY or even really gave us time to ask questions because a ton of people were fooled, but I can almost guarantee that some of these customers, including myself will NEVER in my lifetime want to be under Mobilicity again.
