Mina Bakery

Came here on a thursday evening with my fiancé and selected a mix of fresh cookies pastries. Seems like Thursdays is one the best time to purchase fresh pastries in preperation for the weekend. I liked how the pastries were not overly sweet.
We tried a large variety and overall everything tasted amazing. Some our personal favourites:
Coconut cookie — so chewy and perfect texture
The flaky pastries — so light and flaky and some chewy textures. Not overly sweet
There were other stuff we really liked but I firget the names of them.
The owners son was extremely helpful and friendly. He took the time to explain what each item and pointed out which were among the best sellers.
Price is measured by weight and for all the variety we tried which was like 11 items it came to only $ 10.50 tax in. Wow… what a sweet deal. Will be back again very soon.

Definitely got mixed reviews from those I shared these with. Came and got an assorted box of cookies. I told them to put one (or a few) of each kind into a box for me. Everything is sold by weight ($ 10/​lb flat rate). My box of cookies came out to be a tad more than $ 15 after tax. There were at least 15 kinds of cookies in there. There were heart shaped cookies and flower shaped cookies and round cookies and Middle Eastern pastries, and cookies filled with jam, and cookies willed with cream, chocolate cookies, nutty cookies, etc. A lot of them weren’t too sweet, which isn’t a bad thing. I don’t have a huge sweet tooth.
A few reactions I got:
1) The cookie was like a solid balloon (looks hard on the outside, but totally airy and pillowy on the inside).
2) The cookie was super dry.
3) The cookie doesn’t taste like anything.
4) Where did you get those cookies because I want to buy them.
So yeah. All over the charts with these cookies. I’ll probably be back to get some because they aren’t expensive, and my dad seems to quite enjoy them.

Love this bakery, nice variety of items. Unlike the previous reviewer, I love the baklava. Heavy and greasy and sweet? I’m in! They do have lighter options as well, if that’s your thing.

We bought whole lot of things from this bakery, from Baklava to fresh cookies.
Unfortunately everything was just too heavy. Baklava was laden with syrup, we bought 1kg and there were 10 pieces in 1kg. Just too rich for my taste.
Same thing for cookies, there very greasy and left bit of an after taste.
