Mary-am Hotel

I booked this hotel for my friends visiting me in Toronto and they (and I) weren’t disappointed.
1. It’s located in a safe, quite neighborhood
2. The location is convenient to go anywhere in GTA (close to subway)
3. The room was spacious and clean. And it had been recently renovated.
4. The room/​suite had a living area, a bedroom, a kitchenette and a full bath too
5. They have a free parking lot and a free wifi all over the hotel (with a decent throughput)
There are a couple of cons though:
1. Breakfast isn’t included in the price of the room
2. They are not pet friendly
To be honest these cons were not a big deal for us and we would definitely highly recommend it to anyone!

Went here with my bf on an impulse and luckily we were able to book the last room for the night JUST as another person came in right after asking if there was anything left. The service we got from the seemingly young 20-​ish male receptionist was fairly stale, however he was helpful. He showed us our room before we agreed to take it and told us about the breakfast menu they had available which wasn‘t much but it was enough to survive.
We didn‘t end up checking off the breakfast there but they were okay with pizza delivery as it was almost 1am and we were both pretty starved. The entire vicinity is non-​smoking I believe and there‘s 2 floors.
There‘s some parking space in the back and it‘s located in a building-​infested niche within the Willowdale area, so don‘t expect it to be too close to the Yonge strip where more restaurants and nightlife are available.
The rooms were pretty clean and everything comes in new — they have a kitchenette where the items include a coffee maker, a mini fridge with some water bottles, plates, utensils, cups, mugs, and shampoo, lotion.
Not too sure about sound proof ability but I remember in the morning I could hear the sound of cars whizzing by from the parking lot or people walking across talking if me and my bf were in the living room.
It wasn‘t a bad experience, it was fairly pleasant; however, I‘m not sure I would come back here unless I had to.

The parking in the back is difficult to get in and out of, but this hotel offers a really spacious room in addition to a small living room area, a dining area, kitchenette with mini-​fridge, and a large bathroom. The suite was clean and it served our needs for our quick trip to the Toronto area. The furniture is a little dated and worn, and the bathroom could stand to be renovated, but I would stay here again, given the value and convenience of the hotel.
