Main Event Sports Bar & Grill

It’s closed right now. Something about not making the rent payment. Rumour has it around the neighbourhood. It should open again eventually.

Came here with my friends to watch UFC (or rather, to hang out while they watched UFC).
There was a 5-​dollar cover, which sucks, but it does keep the place from getting way too crowded. There are a million screens and some kind of special for every day of the week. That day was a pint with wings for $ 10. I was able to get it with strongbow, and they charged the strongbow in full, and the wings at about $ 4, which I guess is how it works. Wings were good, not great, but they were actually spicy. There were fries under them, which was a nice surprise.
Service is friendly and came around pretty quickly, considering how packed they were. It’s a good spot to watch sports, but not anywhere I’d really hang out in on the regular.

Great little sports bar! Fantastic prices and specials, more lively than The Rose across the road and for what it is, you have to give this place a 4 star rating. No, it’s not some high end, precocious bar — it’s basically a dive. But, I always enjoy myself here and moreover enjoy low priced bill at the end of the night!

I came here to watch the Super Bowl with a friend. And was totally impressed with the place, I really liked the service from the friendly staff, the food was good and this is one of very few sports bars that actually serve coffee! I love coffee so for me this is now the Best sports bar in the City!

I find it a little too loud in here most nights (especially when Karaōke is on), but as a sports bar during a game I can see the appeal. The servers are usually attentive and friendly.
The food is meh at best — their sweet potato fries (a newer menu item) have been soggy both times I ordered, which is a bummer; and most other things I’ve tried are usually flavourless and blah.

Their recent renovations have added a much needed freshening to this neighborhood staple.
Unfortunately though, the revamp didn’t include their food. The wings are pricey for the portion, and to say they are small and skimpy is putting it mildly.
The servers are friendly and accommodating; that’s why they didnt end up with 1 star!

Went there last night to watch the game with some friends.
The service is good. Our server backed off when the game was on, and was attentive when it wasn’t.
The food is BAD. I wasn’t expecting gourmet food this spot, but it was flavourless. Actually, the one thing that we got that was good was the fries.
