If there was 0 stars I would have put that. I don’t usually write Unilocal reviews but this was definitely well deserved. First, lets start with the cashier, who has no idea what she is doing. Threw my reciept in the garbage, gave me another one with a completely different order. Over charged by buddy, refunded it, then over charged him again. Thats just the start. Who runs out of coke at lunch? The chicken definitley tasted«off.» But I thought it was the seasoning. But ohhhhh boy was I wrong! Be warned, if you watn to eat at this place, jsut set aside a couple hours and a few rolls of triple ply, and thank me later for the heads up. They are ripping off popeyes and customers. Never going back.

I ordered 3 chicken combo to-go but they only gave me 2 chickens instead of 1. I tried to get the remaining one but they did not believe me. They have bad service toward the customer

Revisited this place and found the part time help piss poor in both attitude and service. Was ignored for a good 10 mins as the staff chatted away of their summer plans and what not and no acknowledgement of the customers building up. The order was also messed up and was served cold fried chicken. Only the onion rings were hot but overly greasy. Will pass going forward.

2nd time ordering at this location. Online from tasteaway. Love the taste and love the portions. No complaints. The food taste is different from KFC and Popeyes. Because its better :)

Popeye’s Replica in Scarborough! Krispy’s Kajun is doing its best impression of Popeye’s chicken. The place is located on a strip mall on Victoria Park Ave right off Sheppard. The place itself is kinda small and looks very much like all those other fast food joints. The menu offers up fried chicken with other fixin’s including cajun fries, coleslaw, red beans and rice, etc. The service is nice and the prices are cheaper than that of Popeye’s or KFC. They have daily deals where you can pretty much for around $ 5. I ordered the 3 piece chicken with some cajun fries and red beans and rice. The fried chicken comes either mild or spicy. The chicken itself was piping hot and the batter was an exact replica of Popeye’s where you have the crunchy and flakier exterior. The chicken itself was very juicy and the spices are great. The skin is the real winner(as with all fried chicken) and it’s what makes the chicken. I don’t think it was as good as Popeye’s though. Even though it seemed to be exactly the same, there’s just something about Popeye’s chicken. Maybe they didn’t use as much crack as Popeye’s does? Not sure. The Red Beans and rice are incredible. The red bean mash has a wonderful kick to it and mixed with the rice creates a nice blend of simple and spicy. The cajun fries were pretty good too. I don’t like to comment on fries, but they did stand out from other fast food places, though they were a bit greasy. Krispy’s is definitely the place to go when you’re craving fried chicken. I’m an American from the South so you could trust I’ve eaten enough good fried chicken(Or more likely, you’re a Canadian reading this and think the obesity needs to stop!) In any case, the chicken here is wonderful and the prices are something that your wallet will thank you for later.
