Little Bee has been our local quick stop for groceries when we are too lazy to go down the street to the bigger supermarket. Sure it’s not the best but it has the feel of a small town prairie store. There are the most random things available to purchase and all the essentials. Maybe not the cheapest but hey, it’s a local small business and we should support it! Not my first choice from produce. or choice at all really. not sure where the heck it comes from! The owners are super nice and after 4 years of stopping in almost daily they great you like a good neighbour :) We are moving next month and I will miss Little Bee… also I should note we have been calling it Busy Bee for years and just noticed the sign lol. Great place, great people!

Little Bee has quite an expansive selection of items. At least 50 kinds of beverages, basic vegetables and fruits, dairy, snack, spices, processed food, frozen food, household items, and more. It’s pretty much a small grocery store. Although they have pre-made food like potato salad and stuff, they look really shady and is in a shady corner so I have never tried them. The price is quite reasonable. If you live in the area, it is worth your while shopping here instead of going to Loblaws, because there isn’t really much of a price difference.

I lived by here for around a year. Decent selection, though the freshness often left a lot to be desired. I can’t even begin to count the number of times I bought produce, got home and threw them out. Good snack selection though, even if it is very expensive. Good people work there.

Reasonable selection, and reasonable pricing for some things but many others are much more then you’d expect. Dairy often seems to expire before expiry date, and all the dairy has no prices. Their pricing is a little random, and I was charged 13 $ for a 5 $ melon once, but generally I look it as a well stocked convenience store. Check prices, this is less competitive than similar mini grocery stores. Fruit is mediocre, and often subpar. Ginger is often withered and moldy. Meats are always good however, and you can get good meat at better prices then Loblaws. Selection includes fresh chicken, ground beef, proscuitto and salamis. Staff are quiet, uncommunicative and blasé. Beware about buying some of their stock that has been sitting on their shelves unsold for years. The whole place feels drab, and not super clean.

Well, Bee is convenient. And the people who run the store are nice. Just don’t buy anything absorbent. Loaves of bread and oats are out, unless you really like the smell of Little Bee and can imagine it being good for breakfast.

It smells like a barn, and watch out for crazies, but it has all the essentials. Individual yogurt cups only $ 1.39. Is that a good deal? All the necessary staples and lovely staff.

This place has saved me on countless occassions. It opens early and closes really late, around 11pm most nights. As I sometimes work really long hours it’s nice that a place close to home is available where I can pop in and get practically whatever I need — pizza, ice cream, milk, pasta, cereal, shampoo, eggs etc. I agree with another poster in that sometimes you need to be cognisant of expiry dates. I use The Bee for necessities like cereal or milk, I prefer using a butcher for meats.

This place has one of everything, so it’s great for convenience. But IFIT’S PERISHABLE, CHECKTHEBEST-BEFOREDATE! I’ve found stuff on their shelves that was fresh in the 19th century. I’ve also accidentally bought frozen food that had been ripped open and resealed with STAPLES!!!

Nice family runs this store, and it has all the basics you need priced at convenience store prices. Thy have fresh meat, vegetables, all the regular food staples and misc stationary etc. Why you need to stop by, or at least do a drive by is for the food poster in the window. If you need a smile, it’s just the thing, or at least it makes me smile, and maybe that says something juvenile about me, but so be it! That food poster has been there awhile, and has wrinkled… in all the right places. That’s all I’m saying. Do a walk by, promise, you will smile;) xoxo
