Indifferent about this and all the other LCBOs. Gets the job done.

Just been there a few hours ago. There’s a cashier lady a fat blonde lady, she was very rude and don’t know about manners at all! I will never go back to that Lcbo, and neither my friends. My friend is 34, and he seems to have 40 or more, and we both tried to buy some beers, and the lady yell to us saying if we have no Id we couldn’t buy there, I had my id but she don’t want to sell us the beers. Ok maybe it’s a policy or a law or whatever, but you don’t have to yell or even treat us like robbers.

One of the busiest LCBOs in the city. Not a huge selection and a weird entrance to go underground. You can’t get back up to Dundas Street but need to exit via the underground Atrium building exit. There are Long lines on Fridays and weekends and cops on duty Friday nights as well. Its great for people watching though. !

I went there several times while I was in Toronto… A lady who displayed bottles was very helpful, but not people at the cashier !! Why don’t they smile or just be more friendly to their customers ???

Location is convenient and has pretty decent hours. The store isn’t for anyone claustrophobic because of the tiny square footage and number of patrons. Do not go to the store right after working hours as all the office workers rush to buy alcohol(especially on Fridays). At times the lineups snake around the store. Try to go early afternoon to avoid long lineups. Finally this location also has a lot of homeless downtown people buying more alcohol so that can be kind of awkward and smelly.

Bright well lit store. knowledgeable staff. Big selection of Euro/Canadian wines. Found a nice Rhone and a D’avola Italian. A very small selection of American wines. Tip: In Toronto, wine is sold in a specialty store, never in a regular grocery store.

Came here to get a bottle of wine for our hotel room on the last Friday night of our Toronto vacation. The place was mobbed. People everywhere. Crazy long lines. Does this place have a monopoly on booze? Got my bottle. Waited in line, which moved fairly well considering the amount of customers. The kid/student in front of me got carded by the cashier and was not of age. BUSTED !!!

This LCBO is located next to Forever XXI on Dundas. I would say that the Bay St address is a bit misleading in terms of the actual location. I was actually trying to find The Beer Store(express) that’s located near the corner of Yonge and Dundas, but couldn’t see it when I was standing in that intersection. This Yonge and Dundas intersection reminds me of Time Square since it’s well lit and loaded with large lighted advertisements. The LCBO sign was easy to see, so I went here instead of the elusive Beer Store. After entering the LCBO doors, you have to take the escalator down a level to get to the actual goods. I came looking for wine and found a nice selection here. They are categorized by regions, so it’s easy to browse. I ended up with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon called Janeil for $ 12. It’s a decent bottle of wine, a little lighter than my preference, but still good. It was a screw top, which is a bonus for me since I’m a visitor and am not equipped with a wine opener. There were about 3 cashiers working and I had to wait a few minutes in line, but got through checkout pretty quickly. After exiting the store, you’ll have to go right and find an escalator to go back up to the street level.

Love this location, Im usually caught shopping in the Queen/Dundas/College area. This LCBO is right there located conveniently across the mall, next door to the Forever 21 on your left. Its open pretty late for downtown location. Away from this one… I think the next closet one would be the LCBO by Wellesley and Yonge. The cashiers are quite quick but expect to wait in line for a few 5−10mins because its just sooo busy.

Visited this location just before the Thanksgiving long weekend. The location is not the best and the biggest and is nothing compared to the Summerhill one. The options are limited but the place is decently stocked. The location being in the basement with confusing entry/exit causes an issue during busy times. A bit more staff would help especially during the holidays. This place is good for your regular pick-n-leave. But if you are looking for a good wine options, you may not be very happy.

Is there a star option for«not my favourite»? Because this is not my favourite LCBO. In fact, on a scale of «1 to Summerhill LCBO» it’s a 1. With the exception of cashiers, staff is nowhere to be found. I knew what I was looking for, but being new to the concept of wine in bottles(as opposed to boxes — KIDDING) I didn’t know where to find it. I spent a good thirty minutes dodging reeking hobos and fauxmless people trying to find a very specific bottle of wine. There seemed to be more vagrants than typically present in an LCBO. I bought four bottles of wine and wasn’t offered a bag even though I had my nickel ready. They only had individual paper bags — no plastic. Pardon me if I don’t want to carry three litres of wine in separate paper bags on the TTC. The entrance is difficult to find. It’s in the basement of the Atrium On Bay near the subway. There are signs on the map showing it in a different spot but don’t be deceived… it’s way in the corner.
