Larry Teitel

I have seen Dr. Teitel for years and am always happy with him. He is quirky but sure knows his optometry, just like his father did. I would refer anyone to Dr. Teitel.

Me and my family go here for eye exam for years, and always satisfied.
Yes, he has interesting sense of humor, but that makes it more enjoyable.
I don’t understand why another person here gave him bad review… when I came first time, I had very little money to spent, and he was understandable and made every effort to help me to get good quality reading glasses for the reasonable price.
Believe it or not, he charges very low price, if not the lowest in Toronto for eye exam.
In my case, he never pushes to sell me a frames or glasses, he even pointed out to me to nearby — Hakim Optical if I wanted to have a look of more choices of frames.
Last time, because I moved away, I searched optometrist in my area, about 15 to 20 places, and they were all 30−40% more expensive then Larry, so I went back to him.
My wife and daughter went last month to him for eye exams, and yes very funny and enjoyable experience.
I am heading there this week.

Clean office, prompt and thorough service, and great prices. Yes, he’s quirky. If you’re looking for a deferential dude with a boring side part in a lab coat, you watch too much T.V. If you have low self esteem, or are looking to be offended, his easy manner may be off-​putting. But if you are a normal, sane, happy human being, you’ll enjoy your visit and won’t have to break the bank at the end of it.

This guy is one of the rudest men I have ever met. Trust me you would not want to deal with him. He is obnoxious, arrogant and discriminatory towards many cultures and lower income people… never again.

VERY STRANGE MAN. Went to see him to get a prescription and he became angry & agitated (ranting!) when I did not choose to order my glasses/​contacts from him. Made me very uncomfortable, would never return.

Good guy to see. Both his glasses and exam are reasonable ($ 200 for frames and lenses for me, and $ 50 for the exam). He’s a funny guy but he can take a little getting used to.

Very funny guy. Just make sure that you bring you sense of humour with you when to go see this guy and you’ll be fine. I would rate him higher just for his personality, but his equipment is a bit dated. However, he charges probably the lowest price for an eye exam, so it’s good if you’re not covered and need a place to update you prescription and get a quick eye exam.
