I thought this would be one of those kitchy type of stores… kinda like a fancy dollar store with higher prices. But Iw as actually surprised — there is a mish mash of items here — everything from jewelry to fascinators to kid’s toys. In fact the accessories here are pretty amazing — will definitely come back if I need to get a fascinator –most seem to be $ 12 or under. You can get useful things, funky things or just plain out awesome things here for cheap.

Even with a name as lame as L&M, Queen St. would not be the same without a fashion district accessory like this one. Along with the bead shops and fabric joints nearby, L&M has the funky pop-culture accoutrements with a slant toward Asian trends like Hello Kitty. Their window display alone is worth a trip there. Since it was close to Halloween when we walked in, there were many costume accessories that would be difficult to source anywhere else, or just not be as accessible. With interesting stuff everywhere you look in this store, L&M is what helps make up the cultural fabric of Queen St.
