The speed and cost of getting a few photos printed was fast and cheap. BUT — the owner seems to think he is witty and charming. He is not. He told me(a woman) a very offensive misogynist joke while I was waiting. I needed my pics that afternoon, so I wasn’t about to leave in an icy rage, without my photos. I just had to grit my teeth to endure this interaction, while cringing about giving my money to this dude. If the owner/operator wasn’t such a creep I would have rated at least two stars more. It shocks me to encounter behaviour like this in 2015. Women should take their business elsewhere.

I highly recommend Jim’s studio for the quality-price and his passion for this profession. Actually, we passed by Jim’s studio once and had a short discussion with him. My husband and me have a very good impression with Jim. Firstly, he is very honest and loves his profession; secondly, he asks a very reasonable price, only $ 10.99 event for small baby(we had our baby’s passport photo in a Victoria street Tabac, nearby the Passport office. We paid around $ 25 for such an unpleasant photo). We will surely ask him for other passport photo and develop digital photos!

Jim is a friendly guy who is also fast, funny, and professional. Sorry for that last word not starting with an F. He charges a lot less then Walmart or Black’s, and does a much better job. He even has the sense to change his settings to accommodate for different types of skin colour.

I honestly don’t like writing bad reviews, but I find this proprietor horribly condescending and at times offensive. He boasts that he does the best passport pics for the best price, yet he messed up my shots for European passport. Even boldly ran off some bogus dimensions to me which were not at all accurate then assured me he would stand by his word if there were problems. When my application was rejected and I was forced to gets pics elsewhere, he refused to honour his own guarantee. My wife was foolish enough to have our baby’s photo done there and he was extremely rude to her. Blaming her for a one month old baby not being able to hold her head straight. He even had the nerve to tell her«Why do YOU people even waste your time traveling with a baby?» Racist jerk! She could have explained the urgency as there was a death in the family but would it matter? She was in tears when she came home and the photos were so horrible we threw them out. You even claim to «specialize» in baby photos. This guy’s an idiot. Don’t bring your business here!

Ignore the hysterical rant about Jim and his service. My repeat experience has been wonderfully satisfactory. Jim is an experienced and talented photographer. One with a genuine empathy for his ‘subjects’. My Passport photos have been admired by Border agents for years! His prices are remarkably fair. Trust me!

Recently I needed my passport picture taken. I dropped in to Jim’s because it was in the neighborhood and I have to say, Jim took a great picture. My passport picture has never looked so good! Like a drivers license, these pictures could be nightmares. This one wasn’t. I’d recommend taking a trip to Jim’s next time you have a passport photo that needs to be taken. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I’d give zero stars if that were possible. Don’t go here. At first, the proprietor thought my three-year-old son(who has gorgeous long hair) was a girl. When S. said he was a boy, first the proprietor sneered«No you’re not. That’s stupid.» and the looked at me repeatedly demanded«what is it? what is it?» — meaning my child. It was a truly horrible experience which made us both cry. It’s overpriced anyhow, there are much better places where people are actually nice to children. This guy doesn’t deserve anyone’s business.
