I had to get an early morning cleaning done on the day of a new tenant moving in. Everything was smooth up to the booking and confirmation 2 days before. Then on the day of, the cleaner was 30 min late. So I called the head office and the person on the phone told me that she will contact the cleaner and give me a call back. Another 40 min later, still no call and no cleaner. So I called back AGAIN and was told that they couldn’t get a hold of the cleaner. So, why no follow up call sooner? The person at the main office was not helpful or considerate enough to follow up with me quickly, give me a solution, or sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. As for the cleaner, I don’t know what her story was, but her no show and no call were very disappointing and unprofessional. I had to call several places before I could find someone to come in on the day of and ended up costing me MORE. It may have been a rare incidence and there was not much the head office could do, but it caused me so much stress and frustration that I can’t say anything good about the service and the company.

I waited until the last possible minute to hire someone to clean my home. After months of ‘just getting by’ followed by a pretty big house party, I figured it was time to give in. I called a few companies to price things out, and it turns out that at $ 95.00 for 4 hours, Homestead was reasonable. The catch is that you have to buy all of your own cleaning products. Fair enough. Thirty dollars later, I’d purchased some cleaning products, a mop and bucket and a duster. The woman who came to the house did a stellar job. She was punctual and worked really hard to make things spotless. I felt badly having someone do my dirty work, but, hey, maybe it’s not such a terrible way to make money. You can request the same person everytime if you want. I’ve priced out various services and Homestead is definitely at the lower end of average. They did an excellent job. I’ll definitely use this service again.
