You’re really not going to find much browsing in this store, it’s more of a place you come to if you’re a Greek expat or Greek-Canadian looking for books, cds and sports gear from Greece. I have been studying Greek language for the past 9 or so months now, so I come in here often to browse the book selection. Lots of children’s books but they have a good assortment of adults books, both by Greek authors and English ones translated into Greek. My only complaint about this store is the prices. Damn! I know these items are being imported from Greece, but I can’t justify paying $ 40 dollars for a novel or $ 20 for a children’s book. Or $ 30 for a cd! It’s a great place to pick up a gift for a Greek speaking friend though, if you are willing to drop considerable cash.

Walking by this store I spotted some chess and checkers games in the window so I thought I’d pop in and check it out. The store was not what I was expecting but still interesting. The front part of the store has children’s clothing and some toys/games. The far wall is lined with children’s books all written in Greek. The back part has hundreds of Greek CD’s. I didn’t venture upstairs. The gentleman working was busy with another customer but still said hello when I came in and thanked me when I left. If you’re interested in classic Disney VHS tapes(in English) that are still in their original cellophane wrapping then check these guys out. They’re collectors items now and are selling at $ 50 each. In search of a particular Greek CD, I found this place. Greek City Video has more than just video’s. They have a large selection of CD’s, books, toys for kids, some clothing and more. Funny thing, they sell religious Christian items and Anti-Christian books; hunh? They carry CD’s of the most popular albums, documentaries and movies in Greece. The store is organized and clean which makes it easier to browse. I find most of their items to be overpriced, as I’ve found the same items that they have in other stores for less. The staff is helpful but don’t come off too friendly. However, once in a while you have someone working there who is always watching you which makes looking around a little uncomfortable. Overall, Greek City Video is an okay store to purchase Greek CD’s &DVD’s, if you want to get ripped off.
