I was surfing around the food court of Eaton Centre and Froshberg Gelato caught my eyes. They have very unique flavors of gelato and sorbet. The employee was very nice and gave us samples of the flavor we were curious about. I never had«Blood Orange» sorbet and I do like blood orange(the fruit). It tasted a bit sour but you can definitely taste the orange flavor but because it was a sorbet my tongue felt numb afterwards. I would come back in the future(When I visit Toronto again). I would recommend if you like ice cream and you like searching for rare flavors!

MmmMMMMmMMMMMmmmmmm… Gelato! So many Flavour… Almost overwhelming. But delicious none the less. The Gelato was very creamy and smooth. They offer the standard waffle and cup. Writing this review kinda makes me want to get some gelato… Be right back.

I really like the gelato here — don’t hold the fact that they’re located in a mall against them! Their gelatos are creamy, flavourful, fresh, and not too sweet. I like their hazelnut gelato better than all the other places I’ve tried in Toronto. Their biscuit gelato is also very nice.

NB: our visit took place a month or two ago. To finish off our early-evening shopping trip, I took my mom to the nearest frozen dairy shop in the area. It turned out to be Froshberg Gelato, although I had ice cream in mind initially. It was a good first-time gelato experience though, so no regrets! We tried the tiramisu and pistachio-flavoured gelatos, in a medium-size cup to share. Unfortunately, with this being my first gelato of my life, I’m not the most qualified to give an authoritative account of their product, but to my untrained tastebuds it tasted great! Just like ice cream actually(probably a shame, since gelato is said to be more tasty than ice cream…) Out of the two flavours, the tiramisu was the more flavourful one and we could taste the coffee and cake, without a sugar overload, with a rich, thick cream base. The pistachio was the lighter-tasting choice, but was a complementary contrast to the tiramisu gelato.

I love Gelato but I’m not a fan of this Froshberg location. It’s located in Eaton Centre’s Urban Eatery. I went on a busy weekday during lunch. My main issue was that the Gelato had a layer of ice on top — a serious case of freezer burn. They must put unfinished containers in the freezer at the end of the day and it wasn’t covered properly. Nothing ruins ice cream or Gelato more than freezer burn. Yuck. I should have returned it but I was in a hurry. I threw most of it out. It’s a shame because the service was good and they had some interesting flavours. Too many ice cream /Gelato /frozen yogurt options in the area to settle for this place. Not recommended and I will not be back… BK

I want to like this place, but the plastic aftertaste throws me off… the lighter flavours don’t seem as terrible, probably because there are fewer artificial flavourings… I do like how they try to innovate — carrot and cucumber gelato anyone?

After working up a sweat shopping around the Eaton Centre, I was in need of a treat to cool me down! Froshberg’s glowing glass class of rainbow coloured gelato were calling my name! I stared in glory at the wonderful flavours. A face peered from behind the counter and asked if I needed some help? After looking back and forth over the numerous flavours, Peter, the server behind the counter, suggested a sample some flavours. I enjoyed that they give you a real spoonful on a silverware to sample. They offer a rotating selection of hand-crafted gelato and sorbet flavours as well as seasonal specialities. After some thought and consideration I knew what I wanted! You can chose waffle cone or cup but I always go for cup Single(1 flavour, small) 3.95 Double(max. 2 flavours, medium) 4.95 Triple(max. 3 flavours, large) 5.95 I went with a double Pumpkin — Tasted exactly like pumpkin pie filling but not as strong, creamy and delicious, pale orange colour Cappuccino — Light coffee flavour, not too sweet, beige colour, deliclious Service here was very good and helpful, Peter packed my cup so full he said he turned it into a Triple! He basically cleaned out the remaining Cappuccino and then topped up the Pumpkin side to make it even! Love that!
