My husband, my children, and myself were visiting Toronto from the US and happened upon this lovely little store across from the St. lawrence market. It looked lovely and inviting and we like to collect Christmas tree ornaments so we stepped inside. Apparently our two children ages 5&7 were too much for the shopkeepers to handle. Our children were well behaved and curious and began playing with a few of the toys(a set of chattering teeth) just as my daughter picked up and hugged a stuffed bear the shopkeeper became irate. He asked us to leave immediately. I asked him if he was serious And he and the other shopkeeper began to mock us. They said they’d heard me tell my son I wouldn’t buy him anything more than $ 5 and they said they didn’t need us in their store. One of the men then said we should go back to America and shop at Walmart. When the other man realized we were Americans he said, «ugh. You’re Americans? Go back to your malls!» We left the store in utter & complete shock with my five year old daughter sobbing. We never once raised our voices, we didn’t break anything, & we weren’t rude. I have never experienced treatment like this in all my life. I’m still in shock. Upon further research, they have a number of similar & awful reviews on online sites. I don’t know what horrible lives these men have that make them treat people this way, but I kind of feel bad for them. Don’t shop here. And as a side note, all the stuff is junk and outrageously priced…

This is a great shop. Its«new» location on Jarvis St. is a bit smaller than its previous Front St. location, but I could still spend an hour in here looking through all the cool little gift items and trinkets and Christmas stuff and the CARDS! Some of the cards are soooo funny. This is definately a store worth checking out.
