I agree with Evyln below almost completely. Its a great deal on the shellac/gel nails for $ 25. Mine made it to 3 weeks not a chip! it can get very busy so I recommend going earlier in the day. Its kinda tacky decorating but I like that about the place and I enjoy supporting local businesses. Some of the staff are a bit sassy but in a great way that i find entertaining. Some customers that come in are total jerks and don’t even tip so i can understand the sass! :)

Worst manicure ever. I really wanted this place to be good. It’s in my neighbourhood and I’m all about keeping it local. I chose Dragon Nails because it’s only 25 bucks for a shellac manicure. The cheap price should have been the tip off. The shop doesn’t feel clean. One of the staff had Vietnamese television playing on her iPhone at a loud volume. The manicure itself is horrible. I had to point out the five fingers that were still missing half of their polish, and then there were the several strands of cotton that were(and still are) stuck to a few nails. At that point, I could feel her getting annoyed at my pointing out her obvious errors, and just wanted to get out of there. I definitely won’t be going back!

Dragon Nails is a bit dirty seeming, but their tools are sterile, and if you’re looking for a decent cheap and cheerful manicure on the East Side then look no further. I love me some Ten Spot and some NailSense, but sometimes a lady just can’t afford it. I got a shellac *mani for $ 25. What?! That’s right $ 30 for a magnificent mani that lasts, like, 3 weeks including tip. They have just as many shellac colour options as any place in town, and they really take care in applying it. I’ve heard others complain about polish from this joint chipping too fast. If it isn’t shellacked on there, it’s gonna come off. Spring for the extra $ 5, grrrrls(and boy). While I was getting my nails done a lot of people came in to get their eyebrows waxed. I didn’t know they did waxing, but they must rock at eyebrows because more people were there for that than to get their nails done. PEPPERPOINTS: For the ladies who work there. They are catty in the best possible way. They also let me choose what channel I want to watch and have full cable. Score. *Their pedis cost the same, and I believe there is a discount if you do both, but I really hate having my feet touched. I’m very ticklish and I don’t like it. Don’t even look at my hobbit feet. I will kick you.

I also waited a few days to review, but I had a good experience. The place is plain, but I got good service for my pedicure– the polish is only slightly chipped and it’s been over a week. I’ve been several times before and had the same type of service. I’d have no problem going again. $ 25 for a pedicure.

It would appear that this place is going downhill, save your money and go elsewhere! As I’ve said I’ve been going there for years yet they don’t recognize long-time customers! Unfriendly service and poor quality! I had a nail repair done by Julie and had to repair the nail repair! Terrible!

All I can say is that I’m glad I waited a few days to review this place. Day of/day after: 3.5−4 stars. Good cuticle work, fairly decent massage and the polish application was flawless with no cleanup required. The salon itself is a drag, kind of rundown with no ambiance. At least it’s clean. Two days post manicure: 2 stars. The polish chipped off two of my nails within a few days, and exactly one week later I have next to no polish left. I don’t know if that means the polish was old, the topcoat was shitty or if I’ve just been working too hard, but something ain’t right!
