Some really good black teas, I give them credit. Nepal is good. Some others were ho-hum. As a ‘tea room’ it is as sterile cold and corporate as Apple Store, This does not encourage lingering while people watching or reading a book, it’s buy and get out. The staff are always nice, because they listen and seem to know their products. The non-consumable merchandise they sell seem not that great and overpriced, but at least they support a good industry and a most civilized, worthwhile beverage. And if you don’t drink tea they have a ton of flavoured infusions that some people are crazy for, hot or chilled.

Hello my name is Megan and I’m a DAVIDsTEA addict. I’ve been drinking DAVIDsTEA daily for about four years now and I’ve tried almost every tea they have. One of the greatest things about DAVIDsTEA is there is something for everyone. If you like your teas straight(no added flavours) they have a wide selection of straight white/green/black etc. but if you like flavour they have that too at varying levels of intensity. Fruity, herbal, chocolately, decadent, spicy you name it they have it. Plus, they they have seasonal teas that totally suit the season: fruity iced teas in the spring/summer and spicy warm teas in the fall/winter. Even if you think you don’t like tea give DAVIDsTEA a whirl and I guarantee you’ll be surprised because they really do have something for everyone. I’d provide a list of my favrouite teas but there are so many and since everyone’s taste differs it’s really best to just go in and try it for yourself. All of the stores even have two«teas of the day» to sample. The teas themselves can be a bit pricey but it’s worth it for the quality you get. Although the tea is expensive I’ve been able to completely curtail my $ 5.75 soy latte habit at the chain coffee shop down the street. It’s so easy to make at home that I no longer need to make the stop. But if you don’t have time to make a tea before leaving the house in the morning you can always stop by DAVIDsTEA AND grab a tea to go. Make sure you bring your reusable mug to get 30 cents off! Now on to this particular location… I’ve been to a number of DAVIDsTEAs all over North America. This location is great! It’s never too busy or packed, the staff is so wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and best of all they make a great tea(both regular or latte). The space is well designed and airy. There are a couple of tables to sit at but the space in the store is mostly dedicated to retail.

Just like the other stores, only now in the Beach! With a prime spot, facing Kew Gardens, this is literally as good as it gets for David’s Tea! If you like the shop already, then you will appreciate that this location is a bit bigger and air-ier, esp with the big windows wide open. The offerings are the same, and staff are there to greet you with a complimentary sip of a seasonal selection. They are as friendly as one can expect, and mostly knowledgeable about the selection of teas available. I was told that they have been open for a few months now, and it’s just in time for the warm spring/summer-like weather that gets everyone out on the street and onto the Beach. Having so many options for coffee and baked goods on Queen East, another teahouse — in a prime location, with a great selection of loose leaf oolong, roiboos, white tea, black tea and tea accoutrements — is a very good thing… :)
