Bought a game called Batman Arkham City for my nephew on Christmas. It urns out he can’t run it on his older computer, and I missed my 15 day return(skimpy or what) so I installed it on my computer for when he visits. A very frustrating two hours later, A Games-for-Windows customer service tells me the reason Batman game isn’t working is because Warner Bros issued a duplicate serial number which means I can’t use the product. Apparently this happened a lot before Christmas with this game. Call EB Games. When I called EB, they take no responsibility for selling product with bad serial number that can’t be used($ 45.19 on sale). They never heard of the issue before, they wish they had something they could do(like take the game back, maybe?) but gosh darn they just CANT. I need to phone Warner Brothers myself! Really? Is that the best they can do? Google me a phone number for Warner Brothers Hollywood. I thanked the nice girl for her time and let her know I would not be purchasing Christmas gifts at EB again. I am certain Wal-Mart or BestBuy or FutureShop, or CircuitCity or many many others would be happy to stand behind their products!

EB Games is a chain store where each one has their ups & downs or so I’ve been told by some gamers. I got an XBox for Christmas & have slowly been easing myself into the whole genre. Not knowing much about the games, systems or accessories these guys are a godsend. The store is managed by adults & not snot-faced little punks who only know about the games they like. And they don’t look at you like«Hey aren’t you a little old for this?». As you may know, more games are bought by over-30 men like myself than any other group. To say these guys are knowlegable about their wares would be an understatement. They also have a great website to let you know what’s new with reviews, etc. You can bring your old games in that you’ve finally mastered or are just plain sick of & trade them for new ones. I will never turn into Comic Store Guy or anything where gaming is my life, but it’s nice to know there’s a place like this to buy & get advice.
