I’ve been meaning to write a review for Brooklyn Furniture for a few weeks now. I recently purchased a dining room set from Brooklyn that both my husband and I, as well as anyone who has seen it, absolutely LOVE! Louie at Brooklyn furniture really helped us with our very specific wants and really customized the various pieces for us. He was able to contact the manufacturers several times and get us a customized table that met our room specifications, chairs that we loved but had been discontinued, and completely redesigned a credenza to suit our needs. We were a bit wary in ordering an over $ 10,000 dining room set without actually SEEING any of the items in person, but they exceeded our expectations — and we had very high expectations to begin with. The furniture turned out beautiful, and we ended up saving thousands of dollars from other furniture stores that we had visited and priced similar options.
The delivery service was also fantastic — the two guys who delivered really took the time to set everything up properly, give me time to inspect, and even gave me tips on how to clean the beautiful cherry wood.
I’ll DEFINITELY be coming back to Brooklyn for more furniture, and would HIGHLY recommend them.

Quick service on getting my furniture ordered. Was delivered and set up very professionally. Can’t beat their price. Don’t judge a book by its cover. These are good people, selling good furniture at great prices.

I cannot believe the good fortune I had landing on this place. And by landing — I mean that quite literally! We immigrated from the US to Canada and landed around noon and went straight to our then empty apartment. Not sure whether we should sleep in a hotel that day, we tried our luck by going unannounced into Brooklyn Furniture at 3PM. Three hours later our apartment already had a fantastic sofa-​bed and a gorgeous round table with 6 (!!) classy chairs.
Louis and his wife (the owners) were so generous and accommodating, and the fast response time from the movers who carried our purchases that same day was purely due to the owners’ request. Not only that, I had some credit card trouble at the time (my American bank thought the charge was fraud), so the owners just let us pay half and trusted us to come back three days later to pay the rest, without us leaving any deposit or documents of any sort at their disposal. Talk about generosity!
This is a true mom and pop furniture shop in the best sense of the word. Louis/​Susan, if you’re reading this — Thank you so much for making our move to Toronto so easy.

Bought a beautiful loveseat from Brooklyn Furniture. Works perfectly with my décor Definitely worth the wait. I want to thank the two gentlemen who delivered my loveseat for the work they did to get it into my space. They went above and beyond and I mean that literally! Thanks Brooklyn Furniture, happy with the experience (this post was written by my mom who bought the loveseat and is less computer savvy).

They not only discount furniture, they discount your respect.
I inquired online about the price of a storage bed. I called to follow up on the online quote at which point the quote was further reinforced by the owner Louis.
When I went into the store the next day to place the other, I had the unfortunate experience of meeting with Peter who told me that the price quoted to me was for a storage bed with storage rails (drawers) on only ONE side of the bed and he tried to make me feel like an idiot for ‘assuming’ the storage was for BOTH sides of the bed. He then proceeded to tell me if I wanted storage on both sides of the bed, it would cost me an ADDITIONAL $ 400 from the price I was quoted.
I had seen this bed online on many websites and had never seen it with storage on only one side. I contacted the manufacturer of the bed and inquired with them. They told me that it is not possible to sell this bed with storage on only one side of the bed.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. They reel you in with their low prices only to disrespect your time when you come in to order their product and lie to you regarding the price of the product.
Please do not waste your time. Order online or go elsewhere.
