I totally love this place! It is quite near to me and I go there as much as possible. What I really like about that coffee shop is the atmosphere. There is always people sitting and reading or writing or chatting which makes the place somewhat sophisticated. I absolutelly adore the indie rock playlist that they have. I usually have a cup of medium roasted coffee with cream and sugar(that’s right, I am not even huge fan of coffee and still love this place) and a chocolate muffin which has lovely texture and nice chocolate chips in it. Then I just lay back and look out of the foggy window or read something and sort of recharge my energy.

Hmmmm, I love treats which are not too sweet. The latte was a great blend of pleasure without the guilt that accompanies sugary taste. It will be a very short review because that’s all I want to at about this establishment right now. I would love to come here again if I’m in the area. I didn’t eat their baked goods. Parking is a hassle for out of town folks, so it is best to come if you’re passing by and not driving. There is street parking, if you get here first. It is on Broadview or Pretoria Avenue. If you’re coming from North on Broadview then turn left when you see 24HR Noor’s Fine Foods: from the south turn right after the convenience store or when you see the 24HR Noor’s Fine Foods.

Small little coffee shop, originally a house is lively and packed with customers. Had a double americano, not bad, small little place with few seating, has two cashiers to speed up the checkout. Takes cash only, there’s an atm in the basement, but the steps to the basement is steep and has an unpleasant smell. Could consider building a washroom on the first floor.

My friend goes to see a family doctor in the neighbourhood and often see Broadview Espresso. He tells me that it is a small place and they do not have enough seats. It looks a small place from outside, but it is not a small place at all and there are four or five tables and there are many seats on their counter. Customers are all ages and they have friendly atmosphere. The latte is good even though it tastes a little bit soy source. Some people are working on their work with their laptops, but the shop has a pretty good turnover of their customers. It is a good place to talk to friends, but not sitting with a laptop for hours. When you go to bathroom, the stairs is very sharp. Be careful of not falling down. This is a nice coffee shop. I am happy to find Broadview Espresso.

Broadview Espresso is not a café I like to sit around because I’m not big on its cramped quarters and constant flux of customers, but since it’s so close to Broadview station, I like to dip in for a coffee every so often while walking along the Danforth or before heading to the Brickworks market. They make a satisfyingly smooth soy cappuccino and a robust Americano, which is particularly enjoyable iced and sitting outside on one of their many lawn chairs. Bonus: they carry vegan treats, which for a small café with limited selection of baked goods, is a welcome change.

Always drove past this coffee house and wondered about it. BF and I finally made the stop to try this place out. Cute, quaint coffee shop with nice muskoka chairs outside. BF ordered an ice coffee and really enjoyed it! Guess we will be back again!

Coffee is great, people are great, my issue is the place is not clean at all which is quite unsettling. The bathroom looks like something out of a horror movie. A hole in the ceiling with bugs flying all around and super dark(not that you go to a coffee shop for a bathroom but sometime you gotta go). The floors on the main area are filthy and I go in the morning so it shouldn’t be like this yet… Doesn’t boast confidence that the food is coming from a clean place.

I’ve lived just down the block from this place for about a month now, and my only regret is not going sooner. At this point, I’ve become a regular and the staff know that I want a double americano. Let’s talk about this double americano. It is literally amazing. When I first got one, I walked out of the café to head to the subway and I stopped in my tracks. It is one of, if not, the best americano I have had in my life. I needed a moment to just savor how great it was, and for just $ 3! I’ve worked as a barista for nearly two years, so I’m pretty picky about my coffee, and their americanos and coffee put everywhere else to complete shame. Honestly this place has become my go to for coffee before I head to class and I will probably spend all of my money here, but it’s worth it. The place gets pretty busy, and indoor seating is limited, but it has a great laid back atmosphere with friendly staff and nice décor. If you’re craving caffeine, you need to go here. As soon as possible. Like, read this review and then go there.

Broadview Espresso is a lovely little coffee shop. The manager Sean is a real nice fellow. The place has a nice community vibe to it. One of the real pros to this place that had me coming back is that their regular roast coffee is excellent. Traditionally I avoid little shops like this because it’s usually filled with hipsters and the coffee tastes like trash… some overly strong french press Starbucks wannabe stuff. I came in to try the place and was very pleasantly surprised to find a VERY drinkable coffee. And the fact that the price of coffee is pretty fair makes this a good everyday drinker. When you go to some places the coffee tastes like burnt tennis balls and costs $ 5. I could drink buckets of Broadview Espresso’s coffee If there was to be one complaint that would take this from a 5 Star Review to a 4.8 Star Review it’s that Broadview Espresso is Cash Only. I’ve been working with plastic only the last while and the first time I came in I couldn’t buy anything because I didn’t have coin.

Best lattes in the city! I’ve been to a lot of places and not one place has come close.

This place is awesome! I love their coffee. So much that I actually bring beans home with me back to Ottawa. I just picked up two bags today. The next time I’m in Toronto it will be my first coffee stop For sure. Its small but the staff is so friendly and their coffee is just amazing. I love these cool Toronto coffee shops

I live in the west end, but if I am ever even close to the danforth I make sure to grab the yummiest coffee in Toronto from Broadview Espresso. I had a meeting there one afternoon and my boyfriend made me bring him home a cappuccino(all the way across town) when I was done. THAT’S how good this coffee is.

I’ve been going to Broadview Espresso multiple times a week for the last 2.5 years. It is easily my favorite coffee shop in the entire city due to: the friendly, laid-back atmosphere, personable staff and owner, consistently delicious drinks and community — style muskoka chair seating outside. I’ve gotten to know Mike(the owner) and some of the staff in my time here, and admire how he genuinely cares about running a business that enhances the community it serves over simply making a buck(although it looks like the shop does pretty well). I actually prefer that there’s no wifi because it encourages people to actually look at and talk to eachother. I’ve met some cool people and had some nice conversations at Broadview Espresso, which is just one more reason to keep coming back :)

Great location(a 5 minute walk from Broadview subway), great drinks and excellent seating. I had the double shot mocha($ 4.25); it was super creamy, and was made with Ghirardelli chocolate syrup(um, yes please). I especially loved the outdoor seating. Service was also great; friendly, and quick, with the exception of iced tea. My friend ordered an iced green tea and she had to wait quite a while for the tea to be steeped and for them to ice it; part of it probably had to do with the sudden rush that came after she ordered, but nonetheless, it was a bit of a wait(however, the green tea was pretty good).

I’ve come here a few times over the years & it’s not a bad place. Service is friendly, I’ve never waited to long for a drink & the drinks have always been good. The chia tea lattes are really good. They have never made a mistake on my order. I think it’s a cute little coffee shop.

Great coffee house with a great vibe. Their latte can be had any way you want it, with a leaf, for only a few bucks, and the treats are great. They also have little treats you can take and give to your dog too if you buy something. The only issue for me is that, as I sometimes hold business meetings over morning coffee, it would be nice if they had WiFi.

I should probably take a star off because there is absolutely no sense of urgency here from the staff or the patrons for that matter… everyone just seems to really take their time. Which is not necessarily a bad thing… unless you are in a rush! THATSAID, this place does produce some of the BEST and most consistently great lattes and espresso drinks… EVER. And I’m very picky. So good, it’s worth being late for :)

5 stars earned for the maple latte alone. My absolute fave in the city and now a Sunday morning ritual before doing my groceries. It is always consistently good here and the pastries and muffins are delicious. Another plus for me is the seating area they have outside, Muskoka chairs where you could spend hours watching the world go by. Reasonably priced as far as coffee shops go and the staff are not grumpy like other hipster places.

I came in on Sat July 26⁄14 with a friend, his mother, and his two small children. Staff completely wowed us(Jacyln perhaps was her name?) carrying our drinks outside for us as we pushed the strollers, and then finding us another seat(as the table was one short). And they did all this with a smile! Coffee and atmosphere were excellent, too!
