From the window you can tell this place has style. The service is knowledgeable and friendly, almost an impossibility at high-end clothing stores and boutiques. The selection included tiger of Sweden, lindenberg and boss; all in some very up to date cuts. It is also obvious that they have a well maintained clientele, while I was in the store for 30 minutes I saw atleast 3 different sets of customers who had a rapport with the owner/salesman. I recommend this store to anyone looking to upgrade/update their wardrobe without feeling out of place at a large store like Harry Rosen.

I get uncomfortable in stores. I’m just a simple fellow that enjoys naps and I come from a land were«good jeans» are an option for most formal events. With that said, I live in a city(plus travel to many others) and have a gig where I have to pull it together, shake of the excuses and look as good as I can. This means I have to have suits. I was working around the corner from Boomer a few years ago and needed an emergency shirt — I hesitantly walked in because I was assuming an experience similar to most other boutique type, mid-to-high-end, clothing stores I’ve experienced. What I actually walked into was the most refreshing experience. Distant, non-elitist helpfulness was what I got form the good person working there. I also got a chance to discover that the small space is very well curated with smart, stylish(not trendy), well cut stuff.
These guys know what they’re doing, who their favourite suppliers are, and have tremendous tact. That initial experience of buying the emergency shirt has turned into several suits, a swatch of shirts, belts, and even a t-shirt or two over the years. If a reason arises and I need something quality, with a smidgen of advice, that I know will be a pleasant, easy, non jive-assed experience, to Boomer I go

One of the first and certainly the best men’s clothing boutique in Toronto. Owned and still operated by two best friends, Joseph and Dan, plus Dan’s wife, Diane, the shop offers high end men’s wear. The clothes are not over-the-top trendy that you walk out looking like a douche bag. But it’s also not mainstream that you look like a Harry Rosen catalog. Clearly, the team of Joseph, Dan and Diane take tremendous care when they choose the clothes they hang in their Queen West boutique. I was just there and tried one of their jackets. Diane looked at me at gave me a «Nah». I appreciate that kind of candor.
