They don’t keep regular hours anymore and their selection is becoming more limited. In fact, they no longer have any posted closing times and just close whenever they wish. Only two Italian soda flavours available today.

Better and better needn’t get any better. I was once drawn in by the specials in the window, until I realized that all of the prices were just that low. It is a quiet, reliable, and friendly spot to grab a bagel sandwich or a banana muffin and coffee in the morning. If you come to study there is ample space and the music is not obtrusive. Parents can feel free to bring their toddlers here to sit a spell because its clean, cheap, healthy, and the environment is unpretentious. A great place to patronize-the owner is an asset to the Korea Town community.

Cute small bakery, tucked away amongst a bunch of hair salons and other esthetic services. Free wifi, Dufflet pastries and cakes, sandwhich options, baked goods, soup and lots of hot drinks. What drew me in was Apple Cider, but saw they make a good Matcha Green Tea Latte. Had a quiet lunch on the bar stools facing Bloor street with my book. Great place to have a chat(more seating at the back), do some work, but I wouldn’t imagine too comfortable of a long stay. The girl working there was super nice and meticulous

Back when I used to live in the Annex, Better and Better Bakery and Café was my daily go-to place for coffee and sometimes breakfast. This place has the best coffee that I’ve tasted in the area. Although it’s a little more expensive than the chain places like Tim Hortons, it’s well worth it. The bagels and baguettes are awesome. The woman who runs Better and Better Bakery and Café is also really sweet; she always remembered my order and was quick to always help in getting the coffee for me. I really miss this place, and I wish I could still make my daily runs when I’m on my way to school or work.

this place is lovely. Quiet, good service, jazz music; it is as close to a library as a student can get without the palpable anxiety experienced at crunch time. The coffee is delicious and the baked goods are delightful, tres affordable as well. In an area where seating is at a premium(goodluck finding a place to sit mid-day at aroma, the beanery, starbucks etc) this place is often overlooked, which means you can ALWAYS find a seat and an electrical outlet to plug-in your lappy or other battery operated device. Finally, the woman who runs the place is friendly and it feels like she remembers me every time i come in.

Very solid 3. Clean and quiet café that affords a pleasant place to sit while you have your sandwich or soup. The quality is nothing to write home about, but its a good option in the Bloor /Bathurst area for a quick bite that’s simple and not an adventure.

I have been coming here for around about a year and have no complaints. As long as you buy some food and are polite, they will let you setup shop for hours as you plug away on your laptop. They used to have some internet issues, but I helped them get rid of them so now they have one of the most consistent internet connections a café can provide. If you go there, get the breakfast bagel combo #3. It comes in at $ 3.83 after tax for a large coffee and egg+cheese bagel. Yum!

I discovered this place as I used to live around the corner but since I’ve moved I still make a point of dropping by to buy one of their fresh, squidgy bagels or their amazing banana and chocolate muffins. I went here a few weekends ago to do my Spanish homework(hola!) and stayed for about 2 and half hours. And even though I’d gobbled my danish pastry and juice within the first 5 minutes(I’ve never been able to be one of those people who can sit there and slowly and delicately pick at their food), they let me happily sit there and get on with my studies. The cookies are good too. And everything is reasonably priced.
