My review is strictly based on their cooked foods and not so much the seafood items in their market. An unassuming little market located in one of my favourite parts of town(the Beaches), they have a small selection of fresh seafood. I always stop by this place to grab a lobster roll and wash it down with one of their seafood soups(chowder, bisque… etc). Their lobster roll is stuffed with huge chunks of freshly cooked lobster, all wrapped in a pillowy buttered bun with just a brush of mayo. Briny, sweet and so good. Their soups are always packed with seafood; probably a 1 to 1 ratio of liquid to seafood. Seafood freshly cooked at a seafood market, how can you go wrong? So stop by and give their lobster roll and soup a try if you’re nearby.

Great seafood spot here. There lobster roll is without a doubt the best I’ve ever had. It had such fresh seasoning and flavour it’s mouth watering!!! A tad pricey at 10 dollars a roll but it is worth every penny!!! The couple who runs this shop is the sweetest and so friendly. Definitely a place worth checking out when in beaches!

I come here for one purpose only, the $ 10 lobster roll. It is the best value for lobster I have yet encountered in the city. As this place is essentially a fish monger and only secondarily a seafood café, the seating is limited to 3 stools in the window. The place smells of fish as one would expect at a fish monger’s. Its recommend that you take you lobster roll to the near by park. The roll itself is packed with esculent morsels of lobster in a toasted bun. It’s great!

I was pleasantly surprised today to find that they have sushi and seaweed salad! The sushi grade sashimi looks awesome too and I’m excited to try it :) Check it out !!

I was in the area for the Beaches Streetfest /International Jazz fest and saw the Beach Fish House setup with fresh shucked oysters(3 for $ 5) and lobster rolls($ 10). The oysters were briney and went down smoothly. Since having tried a pretty epic lobster roll at Luke’s Lobster(NYC) I have been in search for one that can compare in Toronto. I’m glad to report that the lobster roll from Beach Fish House is IT! Juicy chunks of lobster, nicely buttered toasted bun and a few seasonings… I had to go back twice! It may be the Awesome Streetfest talking… But it led me to the best lobster roll in TO… And that makes me, my taste buds and my belly SOHAPPY! Will definitely be back to check out the shop sans streetfest.

This business is the epitome of quality and integrity and have definitely won my loyalty and earned their spot as a stalwart of the community. They always get the door for me and my stroller, despite my weak protests not to trouble themselves. They answer questions honestly without the agenda of making a sale. The fish has always been fresh and delicious and I’m pretty sure there are eco-friendly choices for the conscious consumer. Beach Fish House is, hands-down, the go-to for all my fish and seafood needs. :)

I really like this place, was going to give it 4 stars b/c I don’t think I’ve given a 5 star review before, but then I recalled that their seafood chowder(they make it fresh daily) is a great hangover remedy, at least in the winter, and has saved me a couple of times! I love the fact I can trust their fish will be fresh; the sashimi grade salmon is a favourite, and they often have great deals on lobster and a good selection of oysters too. I love small stores and it’s nice to support the independents. Prices are pretty good on take out sushi too(limited selection, but quite yummy and not advertised at all — they will build you a custom tray if you ask/pre-order). Nice people and good stuff in there — the only con, and I can’t really knock them for it is that it’s so tough to get parking in the Beach. I live up the road at Coxwell Gerrard and love to pop by for a last minute dinner idea, but sometimes I circle the block a couple of times trying to find a landing spot.

Jennifer is correct — the Beach Fish House is excellent — great quality fish, lots of variety, and amazing chowder. Also — they will order in fish for you if they can(they order us whole Greek sourced fish every week and a fair price). Glenn and Maya are wonderful people and the place is always buzzing. Glenn can also give great advice on how to cook any type of fish you are interested in.

Every neighbourhood should have their local bakery, butcher and seafood store. Beach Fish House is the place to go to buy fresh seafood if you live in the area. They carries a full line of Wild Caught, Sustainable, Organic, Farm Raised fish & seafood. Also if you interested in oyster, live lobster. They also has cooked food to go e.g. Seafood Chowder… BTW, too bad Lake Ontario is so polluted. if not one can just fish and have freshest fish from the Lake. But for the time being, I guess we have to buy them from Seafood market!
