Yes, I’m a health and fitness nut — how can I not be when I own my own fitness business. So when I sit down to a heaping bowl of Raspberry Cheese Louise and Pralines and Dream frozen yogurt from Baskin Robbins, I typically get jaws dropping and raised eyebrows, and questions like, «How can you stay so fit and slim eating like that?» Well both brands of the frozen yogurt at my favourite Baskin Robbins location — on Queen’s Quay — are low fat and so yummy, that you’d swear that you’re eating real ice cream, you know, the cream– and sugar-filled kind. I love chunks in my frozen desserts, and there are planty of pralines in the Pralines and Dream. If there’s a fruit that I love the most, it’s raspberries, so the Raspberry Cheese Louis is my choice for the best raspberry lovers’ frozen yogurt around. Now that’s not to say I eat these two yummy desserts every day, or even every week for that matter. But frozen yogurt — a good and creamy frozen yogurt — has always been my favourite gastronomic indulgence — when I was pregnant, many years ago, I craved it! Recently, I treated myself on New Year’s Eve of all times(my resolution was to not make any resolutions — but to live healthily year round) as well as just last week, since it is spring and we’re supposed to be eating warmer-weather foods(that’s my excuse, anyway, to indulge). I make it a point of frequenting the Queen’s Quay Baskin Robbins location because the poor shopkeepers along that strip are hungering for business with all the construction going on — streets being torn up and detours galore. The manager of that location is so sweet and friendly, and his ice cream is really fresh — I’ve been to other locations where the ice creams and frozen yogurts aren’t as creamy fresh. So next time you hunger for some ice cream or frozen yogurt, try to make a point of making it to the Queen’s Quay W. BR.

Uh oh… someone is in big trouble. Whoever it was that came up with the idea of creating a Reese Peanut Butter Cup sundae is goin’ down. Why you ask? Because I can’t stop eating them. I recently tried one of these bad boys(and boy are they bad) and I needed a couple of moments to come back down to earth. I’m not lying — they really are *that* good. Between the Pralines ‘n Cream ice cream, hot fudge, Reese Peanut Butter sauce and chopped Reese Peanut Butter cups, it’s hard to distinguish what causes the climax first. Despite the treat being beyond bad for my hips, it’s one of the best my lips have ever had. Just the thought of it… oh gawd, here we go again.
